Swimming, fishing, boat and canoe rides:
Summer activities: the Asunden Lake is one of Sweden's warmest lakes. At this place the beach vacation becomes a summer dream. If you want to enjoy a swimming pool there is one in Ulricehamn (2 km or 10 minutes away.). The place offers also a water slide and a pool for children, a cafeteria, a solarium and a fitness center. There are 17 fishing lakes at Ulricehamn and running streams of different sizes offering different fish. Fishing charts are available at Skotteksgarden. The 32 long Asundensee is the ideal lake for fishing, surfing, canoe/ boat riding. You can rent canoes as well as boats at Skotteksgarden! Boats owners can bring the rented boat to the yacht club at Ulricehamm. Berths are available for our guests directly at Skotteksgarden.

Numerous trip destinations in the surroundings are waiting for you and your family. Take a tour to the historic 'Höfen am See' around the Asundensee Lake. Here you can follow the footsteps of the Swedish writer Birgit Sparre, - a tour which is well known by every Swedish child. At Falbygden – Ätradalen eco- museum with its over 80 historic farms, cosy pubs and small art craft shops are an open door to discover South- Sweden’s charm. The Komossee - nature reservation is one of Europe’s largest conserved swamps. The untouched and contrast- full nature of the place makes it unique. More than 80 animal species can be seen at Bora´s zoo. You can also visit Liseberg – Scandinavian’s largest vacation park or Skara Sommerland, which is Scandinavian’s largest water park. You can easily get to both places by car through the freeway. At the 'Welt der Astrid Lindgren' both children and adults will discover Pippi Langstrumpf, Michel und Ronja Räubertochter.
Shopping, dining and drinking,...:
Just 10 km away from the bungalow at Skotteksgarden is 'Gällstad', Sweden´s biggest textile center. Every Thursday a selling of the products take place at very low prices. Those in love with shopping will be pleased! Recommendation: the famous 'Dagens' (lonch) between 12:00 and 15:00.. You can get at almost every Swedish restaurant for ca. € 5 - € 7. The 'Dagens' is a complete meal with main course, salad buffet and coffee with cookies (includes 1 beverage); - often also as buffet.
Golf:
Sweden’s south high ground- golf field is located just 3 km away from the lake bungalow in Ulricehamn. The 5.540 m large 18- hole golf course SSS 71 offers a driving ranch, clubhouse and a restaurant which opens during the summer. The hilly golf field has park and forest areas and is located in the middle of Lassalyckan´s vacation area on the sunny and mild slopes between Ulricehamn and Asunden. Soon a new golf field will be opened just 3 km away at the lake.
