The estate is set in a picturesque olive grove with its own swiftly flowing stream that has for centuries provided the power to operate the mill. Sounds of the water rushing through the grounds are very soothing, however for reasons of safety, the banks are now covered by a metal grill, so there is no danger of falling into the stream. Children can play outside and run in complete security without any danger. The 12 X 6 pool is situated next to the olive grove. Outside shower, changing cabin, WC, inside parking for two cars, table tennis, slide, swing, basket Guests can sit under the shade of trees and make use of the barbecue and table anch chairs provided for dining 'al fresco'. The small country town of Massarosa is just 3 km away and has some excellent family run trattorie and the usual shops and bars

The Olive Mill is situated in the small village of Quiesa, half way between the historic walled town of Lucca and the golden beaches of Versilia approximately 12 km in either direction. The origins of the olive mill date back to the 14th century from which time it has played an important role in the agricultural history of the Lucca region. The place spans from the fertile reclaimed land bordering the 'Lake of Massaciuccoli' to the hill that faces onto the sea front and Camaiore. However, the area's true crowning glory must certainly be the hamlet of Massaciuccoli, where during the roman era important features were set out that are still clearly visible today. It is here that the remains of a thermal spa complex, villas and houses can be found , together with ceramics dating from the 2nd century BC to the 3rd century AC; these can currently be found in the Civic Museum. From here guests can walk till Compignano or Aquilata mountain where there is a wonderful sight above the hills.

Motocarhighway Lucca/Firenze - Exit Massarosa - After the exit turn to the left direction Lucca crossing Bozzano till Quiesa (about 4 km). After Quiesa drive again along the main road for about one km. You will find an indication on the right side 'Frantoio del Monte' which is 50 meters before arriving to the house on the left side (Via Sarzanese Sud, 2989).
