This generous holiday apartment is on the ground floor of a lovely villa, in whose upper part the welcoming Italian owners live. This property is very tranquil and is in a great location in the hills above Diano Marina. The wide panoramic view of the sea and the bay from the terrace is really fantastic. It’s only 2,5 km to the sea and the sandy beaches and shops and restaurants are less than 10 minutes away by car. On one level the apartment has a large living room with fireplace, a large kitchen with dining area, two bedrooms, a bath as well as a utility room. French windows from the living room kitchen and one of the bedrooms lead to the terrace and the garden, which are only available to the guests.

Diano Marina is situated east of the Toren Imperias which with its long sandy beach is one of the most popular resorts of the Rifoura di Ponente. There are shops of all kinds on the generously tree-lined promenade, perfect for a stroll. The cafes and restaurants along the promenade are a popular meeting place in the evenings. If you don’t like beaches, there are plenty of different trips available around Diano Marina, which is full of vineyards. Tourism is beginning to develop in the tiny villages with traditional industries, and many historical farmhouses have been lovingly and carefully restored. I

Die Ferienwohnung ist geräumig und funktional eingerichtet, rustikal, sehr sauber und gepflegt - bis zu fünf Personen finden gut Platz. Die in der Anzeige enthaltenen Fotos bilden die FeWo sehr gut ab. Genauso ist sie vorzufinden. Aufgrund der Lage der FeWo oberhalb des Ortes Diano Marina hat man einen wunderbaren Blick auf den Ort, den Strand und das umliegende Gebiet. Man hat dort absolute (und erholsame) Ruhe, vor allem auch in der Hängematte, die die Vermieter zur Verfügung stellen. Bei den sehr gastfreundlichen (Deutsch sprechenden) Vermietern kann Olivenöl aus eigener Produktion erworben werden.
Einziger kleiner Wehrmutstropfen dieser Wohnung war die Entfernung vom Ort bis zur FeWo, die etwa drei Kilometer beträgt und aufgrund des steilen Anstiegs für uns mit einem Kleinkind nicht ohne Auto zu bewältigen war.

Wir waren im Juli 2008 drei Wochen da und haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Wohnung ist riesig, extrem sauber und gepflegt, hat eine sehr ordentliche Ausstattung und vor allem einen schönen Garten. Hängematte und ausreichend Schatten. Nicht zu verachten: Professioneller Mückenschutz durch absolut dichte Fensternetze. Die Vermieter sprechen deutsch und sind sehr gastfreundlich und herzlich. Wir hatten zwei siebenjährige Jungs dabei, die auch beim Fußball Narrenfreiheit hatten (außer bei uns vielleicht). Die Aussicht auf das Meer hat man auch vom Frühstückstisch aus (und nicht nur dann, wenn man auf einen Olivenbaum klettert). Die Autobahn hört man fast nicht; dafür krähen morgens die Hähne und ein Esel (nein, genau genommen kräht der nicht). Der Weg nach Diano Marina bzw. ans Meer dauert mit dem Auto 7 min. Laufen kann man nicht; mit dem Fahrrad muss man schon ziemlich gut sein. Dafür entschädigen die Aussicht und der angenehm frische Wind. Das Haus liegt am Rand von Olivenhainen, wo man abends nett spazieren gehen kann; da kann man z. B. auch mit dem Mountain-Bike viel Spaß haben. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis ist (vor allem in der italienischen Hauptsaison) sehr gut.

1. "Cinque torri" in Civezza (ausgeschildert - weit, aber lohnend)
2. "Gli amici del Conte" in Diano Roncagli (toll, nicht zu verpassen)
3. "U papa" in Oneglia (Imperia, hinter der Martkhalle an der Straße nach Diano)
