The vacation house ‘Bastide’ is located on the southern slope of the picturesque, medieval village of St. Martial, in a complete quiet area. On the ground floor, there is a large dining room (30 m²) with integrated kitchen. From here, you can reach the comfortable bathroom, the sunny south terrace (20 m²) and the small, cosy bedroom. On the first floor, there is a large, tastefully furnished living room (30 m²) and the second bedroom. At the mezzanine under the roof, there is a bed sofa. St. Martial has an idyllic location, in the middle of the ever green oak and chestnut woods, shaped by cultivated terraces. Around the Roman church from the 12th century, there is a row of old, picturesque houses. Directly in front of the vacation house, you can start your hiking tour in the untouched, diverse nature. Within close vicinity, you can refresh natural bathing ponds with clean waters, and in the evening, you can enjoy a romantic atmosphere on the terrace.

Notes to the rental rates

• The rental rates are valid for 4 people. There is an additional visitor’s tax (-, 55/ adult). Each further person needs to pay 50 Euro. The costs for electricity and water are inclusive. In the law season, the heating costs (central heating and/ or wood) are charged additionally. Upon request, linen can be put at your disposal for 5 Euro per person. The final cleaning is obligatory and is 40 Euro.

Special features

We offer our guests season specific fruit and vegetables from our biological crop growing. As we live here, we can provide you with information on the hiking and excursion possibilities, and we can give you a file with information. We talk German, French and English. In the spring and in the fall, there are a lot of hiking lovers here. The nature during these seasons shows its beautiful, various sides, and you can go to pick up boletus, chanterelles and edible chestnuts.

Painting and drawing courses

On request, we can offer individual assistance and painting and drawing courses for beginners and advanced. The course instructor has a long time experience with people of all ages, interested in art. The drawing courses are very suitable for everybody who hasn’t have the chance by now, or for those who still feel uncertain. We will help you reach a level which will enable you to work on your own afterwards. The advanced people will have the chance to develop a style of their own. The remuneration depends on the number of the participants (small groups or individual class).

Special features

It is not possible to come directly in front of the house with big cars. However, within 200 m there is practically no traffic. On request, we can transport your luggage from the parking place to the house and back.
