Sites and attractions:
Port Grimaud is located in a diverse landscape, which has something for every taste. Apart from the rather family-oriented St. Maxime on one side of the bay and the charming but also glamorous St. Tropez on the other side (with the famous out-door market on tuesdays and saturdays), there are many other scenic places in the surrounding countryside, such as Grimaud, Gassin, Ramatuelle, La Garde Freinet, Plan de la Tour, and Collobrière which are easily accessible by car. You should not miss a dinner at the vineyards on the way to Ramatuelle as well as hiking along the coast of St. Tropez to Gigaro from which you have a wonderful view of the coast. These are just a few of the attractive excursions. Don*t forget the 'Gran Canyon' with its breathtaking landscape, approximately 2 hours by car.
Culture and other amusements:
If you are interested in culture, you should not miss a visit to the 'Fondation Maeght' Museum in St. Paul, above Nice (approximately 1 ½ hours by car). The Picasso-Museum in Antibes is also absolutely worth seeing, not only because of its impressive location. In the surrounding of Port Grimaud there are also many other small museums and galleries, churches in which concerts take place, and open-air theatres. It is advisable to follow the ideas of a guide-book or a Tourist Information Center. Of course, you can also enjoy yourself in places like 'Aqualand', on Mini-Golf Courses and Go-cart tracks, or in the 'Luna' amusement park. There is something suitable for all ages and tastes.
...from the heart:
If you once experienced the ‚Lights of Provence’, you will never forget the uniqueness of this place.
Golf:
The location of our house is ideal for golfers. There is an 18-hole golf course, ‘Golf de Beauvallon’, embedded in rolling hills, which offers a wonderful view of St. Tropez Bay. A few kilometers further, you can find the challenging 18-hole golf course “St. Maxime”, situated in a beautiful landscape. 15 more golf courses in the region offer an attractive alternative.
