The house is located in L´Escala, a fishing village, distinguished by a lovely landscape, with stone pine covered hills, beautiful coves and magnificent, long sandy beaches. The modern village centre and the beautiful Old Town with its cosy lanes are located directly on the coast. With an endless number of shops, restaurants, cafés and pubs, that are the hub of life especially in summer. But the beach promenade and the fishing and sport harbour have their own special flair. L´Escala normally has a mild climate, whereby, temperatures can stay warm well into the autumn. Those looking for cultural-historical places of interest will be astounded by the Greco-roman archaeological site of Empúries approx. 2 km away, this is also where the Olympic torch was accepted for the '92 summer Olympics. As far as gastronomy goes, L'Escala is famous for its 'Anchoas' salted sardines and any kind of fish dish.
