Excellent all year destination in Slovenia's Trilav National Park, set between Lakes Bled and Bohinj in the peaceful mountain village of Koprivnik (Alt .1000 m),on the edge of the Pokljuca Plateau. Stonewood is a new luxury apartment built of stone and timber in traditional alpine style, with great valley, mountain and Beech forest views. Apartment is generously fitted out, with 2 separate double rooms, a fully fitted modern kitchen, lounge diner with sleeper sofa and fireplace, plasma TV with satellite and DVD/Video facilities. Bathroom with spa bath. Location offers access to a host of outdoor activities including, Cycling trails, walking and hiking routes (begin from the front door,) easy access to both lakes and numerous gorges and waterfalls, skiing and cross country skiing, horse riding, climbing, kayaking, wine routes, caves and more. Apartment sleeps 2-4, with half-board on request. Guests enjoy discounted rates on equipment hire and activities.

Stonewood is located in the peaceful mountain village of Koprivnik near Bohinj and is set between both lakes Bled and Bohinj on the edge of the Pokljuka Plateau. Lake Bled is vibrant centre with shopping, casinos, restaurants and Castle and Island church are always favourites. Lake Bohinj is larger and less developed, it is best explored on foot or by bike and there are many activities which start from this point. The Pokljuka region is extremely popular for its fantastic walks, hikes and cycle routes, gorges and of course skiing or alpine cross-country trekking in the winter. The World Biathlon championships are held here annually. All of these locations are a short scenic drive from Stonewood and Pokljuka or the walking/cycling routes begin from the front door. Closest airport is Ljublajna, Brnik (40 min), Klagenfort in Austria is 1 hour and Trieste in Italy is 2.5 hours transfer time.

Golf: Bled Golf Course is situated approximately 30 minutes from the apartment, this course enjoys an idyllic setting surrounded by mountians.

Made our holiday - Luxury and stunning scenery

Stonewood Apartment made our stay in Slovenia, beautiful and set with its spectacular stunning scenery.
We arrived at Stonewood Apartment and meet the owners who were extremely welcoming, they told us all the information we needed to know for the duration of our stay.
Upon entering the door of the apartment I was astonished by all its character, the log fire burning and with enough information and literature provided you felt at home straight away.
The homemade cooking which was pre made for our arrival and the welcome drink was most delicious I had tasted, the fridge had drinks and breakfast for the morning. The apartment was spotlessly clean and well equipped, fully kitted out conveniently with everything you needed for your stay; you didn’t have to worry about anything (Other than your own self catering delights).
Four of us stayed at Stonewood Apartment very comfortably with plenty of space and enough to do. The owners were so friendly and extremely helpful they gave advice on places to see and things to do around the area. We had pre arranged ski lessons and ski sets through the apartment owners, and had the time of our lives. By arranging ski activities through the owners it made our whole skiing experience extremely pleasant. The advice they provided for beginners who wanted to give skiing a go for the first time was spot on.
I highly recommend Stonewood Apartment to anyone who wants to get away from it all and have a home from home experience with luxury and comfort. Stonewood Apartment is a self catering paradise. Our stay at Stonewood was one of the most comfortable stays I have had in Europe, This stay will always be remembered and I will definitely be going back, as the apartment is suitable all year round.
Slovenia is one of the best destinations I had ever been to; I am in love, the locals are so friendly the scenery is amazing the sports activities great fun and the food delicious.

Die Eigentümer Jackie und Alf haben eine wunderbar gelegene Ferienwohnung, die in ihrer Ausstattung nichts zu wünschen übrig läßt. Beide sind sehr darum bemüht den Aufenthalt angenehm zu gestalten. Dies fängt bei einem umfangreichen Lebensmittelpaket für den ersten Tag an und hört mit vielen persönlichen Tipps über sehenswerte Ecken der julischen Alpen auf.
Die Wohnung ist sehr sauber und gepflegt. Englische Bücher, Spiele und DVDs sind ebenfalls vorhanden.
Für eine weitere Reise nach Slowenien werden wir auf jeden Fall Stonewood wieder berücksichtigen
