Montpellier has lots to offer visitors. History such as the Cathedral of St. Pierre and St. Anne, the oldest university in Europe. The 'Centre Historique' and the well-preserved aquaduct, a Roman water engineering feat. 'Centre Historique' has streets sometimes as little as 2m wide and countless little boutiques and restaurants. 'Place de la Comédie', the largest pedestrian zone in France is a must-see, beside the old opera, opposite the 'Corum', with a new opera, theatre, and many other cultural establishments. Don’t forget world-famous 'Musée Fabre' with over 2000 paintings. It’s less than 50 km to the drip-stone caves, 'Lac du Salagou', or to Hérault River with canoes and bathing as well as romantic pathways. The town of Sète with its idyllic canals. You mustn’t miss the 'Camargue', where flamingos, bulls and the white Camargue horses are on display.
