The Sette Fratelli-Monte Genis Regional Park includes in its area almost all the Sarrabus region in the south-east of Sardinia. The granite massif of Sette Fratelli (1023 m.), which has taken its name from the main ridge seven tops, encloses marvellous landscapes as the incredible “Arco dell’Angelo” gorge and picturesque river valleys in the rocks. During the nineteenth century the place healthiness attracted numerous habitants of the nearby Cagliari (San Gregorio-Burcei settlement) Monte dei Sette Fratelli: Along the impressive ravine of 'Gola Rio Cannas' you get directly in the mountain region of 'Sette Fratelli' (a natural protected area). Where above the oak forests, blackberries and mastic trees rise 7 mountain peeks, hence the name 'Sette Fratelli' (seven brothers). There are numerous, well posted forest paths to wander around and explore. There is an impressive gorge with high oleander bushes. It begins directly behind San Gregorio and ends only few kilometres before San Priamo.
