Our country house is located in the beautiful wine village, Henschhausen on the Rhine, approx. 300 m upwards from the Unesco Culture Heritage ‘Upper Mittelrheintal’, surrounded by vineyards, woods and grasslands. The very large vacation apartment was finished in May 2007, and has a dream-like view upon the Rhine Valley and the uprising low mountain range “'Taunus”. The bedrooms are very big and equipped with double beds. They offer a ‘celestial silence’ for a relaxing sleep. The kitchen is equipped with microwaves, a big freezer, refrigerator, dish washer, etc. You can enjoy the view upon the Rhine while cooking. In the tastefully decorated living and dining room, you can find DVD; radio, Sat-TV and a couch bed. So, you have enough room to dine, relax, play and party. The bathroom has shower, WC and hair dryer. The big balcony is on the Rhine side and invites you to relax, with a view upon the ‘Gutenfels’ castle. You can also find a beautiful garden with garden house.

The ‚Middle Rhine’ region and the Middle Rhine Valley are part of the World Cultural Heritage since 2002. This narrow, cliffy Rhine Valley offers a picturesque setting for an unforgettable vacation. This is the home of Loreley, and a fortress with the ruins of a castle. Stahleck, Schönburg, Marksburg, Sooneck, Reichenstein, Rheinstein, Ebernburg, Pfalzgrafenstein located in the middle of Rhine, and many others are world famous. Middle Rhine offers many possibilities for active vacationers. The woods and the neighbouring vineyards offer numerous well marked hiking trails. Visit the small towns influenced by the vineyard culture, with their partially original, medieval fortifications and their well preserved historical centers. With the ferry on the Rhine is also a very romantic experience. The trip offers on the Rhine and on the Mosel are manifold.

Notes: All the rooms have light and friendly equipment. There are 3 large bedrooms with linen. Extra beds can be put at your disposal, if needed. Further guests can also sleep on a couch bed in the living and dining room, with radio, DVD and Sat-TV. There is a completely equipped kitchen with dish washer, microwaves, toaster, kettle, big freezer, refrigerator, baking oven and a 4 plate stove. The bathroom has shower, WC, hair dryer and towels. It is completely refurnished. There is a big balcony with wonderful view upon the Gutenfels Castle, the Rhine Valley and the Taunus.

Excellent Apartment in Great Location!

The apartment was absolutely wonderful. It was very clean, spacious, in an excellent location, and the best equipped apartment we have seen in Germany! This modern apartment had everything we would want to make our stay very comfortable. The wireless internet access was an extra plus that helped us stay in contact with our family during the week. We had a wonderful time exploring the Romantic Rhine every day we were there, but we also enjoyed coming back to this apartment in Henschlausen each evening where we could relax in a very peaceful setting. The property owner was very gracious and extremely helpful in every manner. This high quality apartment and the wonderful hosts made this stay beyond our expectations. Thank you!

We have stayed at the Stahleck apartment for 7 days in July 2008 and really enjoyed it. Located in a quiet area in the heart of the Rhine valley about 4 Km from the Bacharach, The apartment is spacious and comfortable with 2 bedrooms, a large dining room connected to the living room. The kitchen is well equipped with a lot of dishes, pots and pants and modern appliances

We are very thankful to the M... family who provided information and direction and made sure that everything was fine.

We highly recommend this apartment and are looking forward to go back one day soon.

Schöne Wohnung mit guter Ausstattung

Wir haben in der oberen Wohnung gewohnt. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und hat viel geboten: von der Spülmaschine über kindergesicherte Steckdosen bis zum schönen Ausblick auf den Rhein und die Burg Gutenfels. Die Einrichtung und das Haus sind noch sehr neu und man fühlt sich einfach nur wohl. Für unseren Geschmack waren die Betten zu weich und die Wohnung ist etwas hellhörig. Wir würden trotzdem immer wieder dort Urlaub machen.

Wir waren für 5 Tage in der oberen Wohnung des Hauses und haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Wohnung war sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Wohnraum und Küche sind sehr groß, so dass die auch für eine Familie mit 6 Personen gut geeignet ist. Die Vermieter sind sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich.
