Photos and Description of this San Martino in Freddana holiday house Quiet site, 10 km from Lucca, large garden, swimming pool, tennis court

Villa Torre degli Onesti was originally built around 1500 and carefully restored in 1990. It is set in a beautiful hillside position, 1 km above the village of San Martino in Freddana, 15 min from Lucca and 30 min from the coast at Viareggio. Our guests have a swimming pool, tennis court, table tennis and garden furniture at their disposal. Children are welcome and will enjoy running about in the large garden. There are different apartments in the Villa and others in rural side buildings. The apartments differ in number of bedrooms and sleeps. Interior design and furnishing are all the same. The holiday house Maria has its own little garden and terrace, the apartment Elena an own covered terrace. Weekly prices include the final cleaning and, in case of stays of more than one week, a weekly in between cleaning with change of bed linen and towels. Pets are welcome and pay 50 Euros a week. Other extras are heating (which you will hardly ever need) and use of washing machine (4 Euros).

Our Villa is 1 km above the village of San Martino in Freddana and belongs to the area of the nature reserve Alpi Apuane. We are 10 km from Lucca, on the provincial round SP 1 towards Camaiore. Pisa and Florence (airports) are 35 and 80 km away, Viareggio on the Thyrrhenian coast 25 km. In San Martino there are a supermarket, a grocery, a bar, a bakery, a butcher´s, a post office, a branch of Banca Toscana (with bancomat), two physicians, a farmacy, a hairdresser, a car-repair garage and other business. Good choice of pizzerias and restaurants within a few km.

Schoene Wohnung in sehr ruhiger Lage

Wir waren in dem Haus Maria im August 2009 mit 2 Erw. und 2 Kindern. Das Haus ist wie vom Vermieter beschrieben, 2 Schlafraume mit 1 Doppelbett und 2 Einzelbetten, grosse Wohnkueche mit Esstisch, 4 Stuehlen, Sofa, TV, ausreichend Geschirr u. dv. Kochutensilien. Das Haus hat einen eigenen Garten mit Gartenmoebel. Der Pool (ca.12x6m) ist eine Minute entfernt. Haus war sauber. Abends/Nachts konnte man jedoch kaum Fenster oeffnen, da sehr viele Muecke u.a. Insekten Einzug hielten. Der Vermieter ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, gibt viele Tipps, und die Abwicklung ist unkompliziert. Im Ort ist das Restaurant Alpino empfehlenswert. Bis zum Strand sind ca. 30 Min Fahrt. Wuerden die Anlage auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen und auch selbst wiederkommen.
Owner's Response: In den Hochsommermonaten Juli und August werden, in der Tat, am Spätnachmittag (etwa ab 5) die Mücken hungrig. Man sollte etwas zum Einreiben dabei haben. Abends empfiehlt es sich, die Fenster nur dann zu öffnen, wenn das Licht aus ist.

Schöne Wohnung in schönem Ensemble

Die Wohnung Maria liegt wunderschön in einer dorfähnlichen Ansammlung. Der Blick auf die Berge ist herrlich und im Sommer ist die Wohnung schattig kühl, da erst am Nachmittag die Sonne von Westen hereinscheint.
Dass wir im März zu viel schlechtes Wetter hatte, dafür kann die Wohnung nichts. Wir haben uns dennoch sehr wohl gefühlt.
