Our ecologically built houses (each 85 m²), surrounded by horse pastures, are located on a sunny southern slope. On the ground floor you will find a living room with an open, completely furnished kitchen with a dishwasher and an oven. The pellet oven, rustic tiling and timber floorboards on the top floor, tasteful wood furniture and wooden decks make sure you feel comfortable and give it that cottage feeling. Furthermore, you will find a double bedroom and a bathroom with heated flooring. By taking comfortable wooden stairs, you will get to the gallery which has Sat-TV, DVD and a sleeper sofa, a cuddly bedroom with 2 beds and sofa bed and a room with a washer. The colorful images from the famous artist Rosina Wachtmeister - who was our first guest -make for a southern flair. Relax in the beautiful garden and enjoy the view of the valley and the stable nearby. Or spend a romantic evening around a campfire in an Indian tepee.

The vacation homes are all furnished the same. They are located offset from each other so that the guests do not disrupt each other. Every house has its own sunny garden area and is separated optically from the others through a plant-fence by the entrance. The parking spaces are found on the access route to the houses. You will feel like you are in the southern Mediterranean through your blue house door and blue wood lays, Mediterranean plants like bananas, oleanders, rosemary, lilacs, roses, colorfully planted flower tubs and the chirping of countless crickets. From the houses you can see a pasture for horses and a large Indian tepee - you can walk past these and it will take you directly into the forest and into the gorge trail. The property is optimal for families and pairs or groups that want to go on vacation together, but still want to have their private space. Children and pets can play undisrupted and without danger, because the street going to the city is far away.

The Rissenthal Nature Park village is located in a romantic valley 5 km away from Losheim am See in northern Saarland. From here, you can directly reach the most awarded hiking path in Germany, the gorge trail, in addition to 6 other premium trails. The exciting surroundings offer hiking, biking, horse back riding, family fun, relaxation in the nature and countless excursions and shopping possibilities, like for example to the attractive Merzig, Luxembourg, Trier, Metz, to the Saar loop, to the 'garden without limits', to the wolf specialists Werner Freund, to the roman Villa Borg, to the Montclair burg. The houses are ready starting at 16:00 on the day of arrival and needs to be left in a clean condition corresponding to the rental conditions before 10:00 on the day of departure. During the low season and with prior consent, different arrival days can be agreed upon - also for holidays during the week. You will give your keys back at the vacation homes or private house that is near by.

The prices include utilities, final cleaning, bed and table linens and apply to each house. 1. Weekly price for 3 people for a booking from Saturday to Saturday, each extra person 8€ per night. 2. Night price applies to 3 people for 3 nights, each extra person 15€, starting with four nights each extra is 8€. 3. Special price upon agreement for stays longer than 5 weeks. 4. Children up to 3 years old are free. 5. Pets 5€/night. 6. Towels: each 1 €. 7. deposit: 150€ (reimbursement 10 days after departure at latest). 8. | Notes: | The living-dining room is furnished with a sitting corner - made up of a comfortable sleeper sofa, a couch table, 2 rattan chairs and 1 standing lamp. The dining corner is made up of an extending table with a table cloth and 6 rattan chairs, shoe rack and coat hooks are found in the entrance area. 12 piece dish, utensil, glass (12 wine, 6 sect, 12 juice), table sets and a Provencal table cloth for the garden table are stored in the cabinet and bureau. Decoration objects like candle holders, lanterns, high quality pictures, carpets on rustic tiles and full-length curtains, together with the crackling fire in the pellet oven, provide for a comfortable atmosphere. Your pet will find its idea place under the stairs where they can wathc everything the family is doing and can protect the house. The kitchen includes a toaster, coffee machine, hand mixer, water and egg cooker, baking molds and all of the necessary cooking and baking utensils. Kitchen towels are available. |
Children get to know horses - small riding school
This small course should offer children and their parents the possibility to dive into the horse world and to build their first contact with these amazing animals. The goal here is to build a solid basis for respectful, unafraid and sensitive contact with horses. Riding for adults at our stable is only available with your own horse due to the lack of suitable school horses. An indoor riding ring, outdoor riding ring and round-pen are available with prior arrangements made with the neighboring riding stables. For adults without a horse, there is the possibility to go riding at a stable 10 km away - also covered wagon rides. Start from our horse back riding station by the Saarland riding path. Our horse trainer, Marc Schuster, takes care of the education and correction of horses. For tournament preparation with your own horse and riding hours (western riding techniques) Bettina Kulle (trainer C, experienced tournament director - experience through the German championship).
Indian Tepee and Children's Birthdays
Our original Indian tepee, with a diameter of 8 m, offers a comfortable get-together around a camp fire and doesn't only make the children's hearts go faster! The energy and atmosphere of our tepee makes any event something special - whether it be a birthday party, seminar or family reunion - they will all become an unforgettable experience in our Indian tepee. Host a seminar in the tepee by the light of the fire. Enjoy the beautiful starry sky or search for peace in nature by observing horses in a pasture. Combine your vacation with a special birthday party for your child. We offer a great program for this where the children will be looked after by 2 elementary school educationalists: Indian face paint, making Indian jewelry and a small medicine bag, Indian games, gemstone search, treasure hunt, Indian stories while eating damper bread, building dream catchers, bow and arrow shooting.
Relax, rejuvenate and 'Gudd Gess' in Saarland
You can enjoy swimming and water-sports 5 km away in the Losheim reservoir. If there is bad weather, we recommend the spa in Merzig. There you can relax in warm waters or in the beautiful sauna facilities while your children are playing in the swimming area on the giant slide. After this, go shopping in Merzig and then enjoy culinary delights in one of the several restaurants where dishes from France and Saarland are offered - people from Saarland place a lot of value on their kitchen. You can also drink a good glass of wine in the garden of your vacation home and enjoy the sunset. If you want to explore the surroundings, you can hike through the beautiful premium hiking trails or observe the famous wolf and behavior researcher Werner Freund at his open-air enclosure. You can sail, bike or hike around the famous Saar loop.

Skiing Information:
If there is snow on the ground, you can go to Weiskirchen (about 15 km) for cross country skiing or you can go on the Petersberg at Braunshausen (30 km) and on the Erbeskopf (about 40 km) for downhill skiing. The hiking trails are especially lovely and romantic when there is snow.
Golf Information:
There is a golf course in Nunkirchen, located about 15 km away from Rissenthal in a beautiful valley.
