Ski:
Planai and Hochwurzen present the centre track of the ‘Schladminger 4 Mountain Rumble’ with 4 linked ski slopes and 115 metres of slopes well as 46 chair lift centres. The ski slopes of Planai and Hochwurzen, hidden deep in the picturesque landscape of the Styrian Ennstal, offer the best bargain in Austria. Here, skiing means a whole area of fun that stretches from the floodlit slope to the internet chat room 1,800 metres above sea level! It is no coincidence that Planai hosts the Alpine Ski World Masters, the Junior World Masters, the Special Olympics World Games and other international events. The ultimate highlight of the winter season is the annual night slalom on Planai cliff – right opposite Villa Handlos. Nearly 45,000 participants make Planai Olympic Stadium like a bubbling inferno.
