The cozy apartment is best suited for single travelers or two people. Apartment Trier is idea for visitors because of its central location – you can reach the historic old city in 10 minutes and see the Roman ruins like Porta Nigra, etc. For more, see culture below. The apartment has a well equipped kitchen and a separate bathroom with shower. Large, light windows allow a lot of light from mornings to evenings in this top floor apartment located in the owner’s house. It is also not a problem if you arrive without a car. The train station is only about 800 m from the house. Shopping facilities, like grocery stores, are located nearby. There are plenty of other options in the city. For those arriving by plane, Frankfurt-Hahn is ideal as it is only 54 km away.

Apartment Trier is located near the center of the historic old city with its Roman ruins, the medieval market, cathedral and the Liebfrauen church. With a 15 minute walk, you can reach Porta Nigra (world heritage site), the Roman palace site, “Kontantin-Basilika” and the royal palace with a palace garden. Or you can also take the bus (50 m) to get to the city center. Hikes in and around Trier in the forested surroundings and higher elevations offer wonderful panoramic views reaching to Saartal or Luxemburg. On the biking paths you can also discover the Mosel, Saar and Sauer, as well as a lot of attractions, idyllic small wine villages and a lot more. Two swimming pools and an indoor swimming pool invite you to swim.

Culture: Trier, being 2000 years old, is the oldest city in Germany and the origin of the Romans. Roman and medieval royalty create the city’s image. You can discover the most important attractions with 2000 steps: Porta Nigra, the main market place, the cathedral with the forecourt and the Liebfrauenbasilika, Roman Konstantin basilica, palace garden with royal palace, emperor’s spas and the amphitheater. Throughout Trier you will find historic buildings with mosaic floors and ceilings. The Villa Borg has been excavated as a Roman property and remodeled: here you can experience Roman life. Excursions to the Saar and the Eifel region with its volcanic history are also very interesting and they can be discovered with athletic activities (hiking, cycling). If there is bad weather, you can visit the Rhine country, bishop or city museum; especially good for children is the toy museum – all f which are located in the old-city area in Trier.

Sport: Biking paths are plentiful, the Mosel bike path, Saar bike path, Sauertal bike path and the Eifel-Maarer bike path can be reached from Trier. Hike through the Eifel and Hunsrück, along the Saar. You will have grandiose views on all of the vineyard paths. There are many idyllic sun bathing spaces on the shores of the Mosel.
