Hiking & Nordic walking:
Directly by Schwirzheim (Bitburg/Prüm region) you can start hikes. Different city and region hiking paths can also be reached directly. The nature reserve area Duppacher Maar belongs to the neighboring city Duppach (already Vulkaneifel). A hiking path leads directly to Prümer Kopf. From Schwirzheim, you can hike into the Prüm region and also into the Vulkaneifel. Horseback riding:
Nearby you will find a few rental horses and guided rides, also riding classes and classes for children. Horseback riding is a popular sport in the Eifel, because the landscape is perfect for this and since there are a lot of farms that are no longer operational, you will always find horse paddocks and horseback riding farms. A horseback riding farm is located very near our holiday apartment and also offers courses for children.
Cycling:
The closest cycle rental is in Weinsheim, only about 3 km from us. You can order the bike and have it in front of the house upon your arrival. There are countless bike tours in the Eifel. A few of them also go through our city of Schwirzheim. In Prüm, the Eifel-Ardennen-bike path begins, in Gerolstein you can get on the Kylltal bike path, which goes from the springs in the Losheim graves to the estuary by Trier. Golf:
Bitgolf - Wißmannsdorf - with golf school. Burbach (22 km) - GC Kyllburger Waldeifel - Lietzenhof, April - December. Golf course Bitburg-Baustert - play rights (without fee), golf practice days, course preparation classes, inexpensive green fee, golf school, free training for children, youth encouragement and a lot more.
