The dreamy village Le Valtin is located In the middle of the vosges mountains. The former cheese ripening ' Les Fromagères' is right in the middle of the village. The 200 year old building has been entirely renovated and now gives place to 3 spacious holiday homes, which can be reached by a common entry area. The apartments are equipped with all necessary comfort of modern living, but have kept their original character. The entire house 'Les Fromagères' with its 250m2 offers place for 14-20 persons. But you can also rent one of the 3 flats individually - Apartment Thérèse (45m2) for 2-4 persons, apartment Madeleine (67m2) for 4-6 persons and apartments Bernadette (135m2) with an open fireplace for 8-10 persons. Each unit has a Terrace and can use the rustic arch basement with a cosy tiled stove. Holidays in Le Valtin are ideal to break and relax. Swimming in the nearby lakes, hiking, winter sport or just savour the nature.

Terrace with garden furniture and barbecue. bed clothes and towels can be rented on request. For the common use of all apartments: arched cellar with tiled stove, assortments of toys and games. Separate room for the storage of ski etc.

We steyed in 'Madeline' apartment Accurate description, except that it was actually better in real life. On 2 floors, much larger than we ha thought and very beautiful.
Very clean & new.
Lovely owners & the lady who looks after the apartments is very friendly( tho speaks very little English)
Highly recommend Le Valtin, it is a stunning village - middle of nowhere - scenery to die for - utter peace & quiet.
Be aware there is not much for kids to do in the vilage, but all the walking will wear them out.

Ate in the restaurant opposite the villa and didn't realise it was very 'dressy' and silver service so we were not dressed up enough but the staff were very friendly and the food was simply amazing, I'd go back for that alone.

Car needed.

Wir waren für 4 Tage in der Wohnung Madeleine untergebracht. Die Wohnung ist wirklich sehr sauber, schön und modern eingerichtet und top ausgestattet.
Die nächste Bäckerei und Supermarkt sind ca. 15 Minuten mit dem Auto zu erreichen. Le Valtin selbst in ein kleines gemütliches Dörfchen, von dort aus starten auch einige schöne Wanderstrecken.
Also wir haben uns wirklich sehr wohl dort gefüllt und werden auf jeden Fall irgendwann nochmal dort Urlaub machen.
