Hiking during the summer:
Zuckmayer-hiking path, Saas-Fee: this hiking path was made in 1996 in honor of the author Dr. Carl Zuckmayer. Zuckmayer is distinguished by 5 serpentine stones. From the house Vogelweid, his former house, you can climb up to the bear’s waterfall – this leads to Melchboden and Café Alpenblick. After this, follow the forest path down to Saas-Fee, past Hohnegg. Walking time: 2 hours. Alpine flower promenade, Saas edelweiss and gentian – these are only two of the almost 240 types of flowers that you can gaze at while on the alpine flower promenade from Kreuzboden to Saas-Grund. Not all bloom at the same time. You can also get a picture of this with the photos on the information panel. Walking time: about 3 hrs.
Toboggan run:
Luge like lightning: jumps, 360 degree roundabouts and jump curves – these are typical characteristics of the Feeblitz luge run. Since 2000, it has made Saas Fee one attraction richer. With the steepest luge lift to the highest alpine roller coaster – a recreation area that is wonderfully integrated into the landscape and fun, as well as pure adrenaline for the whole family. Insiders all agree: who hasn’t tried it out is missing out. The Feeblitz promises recreational fun for young, old, mothers, fathers and kids. And: often it is the fathers who cannot get enough of the racy curves on the tracks. But what do you expect? The fun begins when climbing to the top. The luge lift goes through an idyllic forest landscape bringing you to your starting point at a 55° incline. Once up top, you will enjoy a superb view of the Saas-Fee village.
Adventure forest:
Adventure forest: You can experience the nature on different levels of course difficulty in a new, thrilling way. You move from tree to tree while having to overcome different obstacles: hanging bridges, Tyrolienne, etc.
Ski:
The winter sport area in Saastal offers something special for everyone with its 140 km of well-prepared slopes: wide, well planed slopes for carvers, mogul slopes, slopes for beginners. The large plus for the snow sport region in Saastal is the absolute guarantee of snow. Due to the elevation, with slopes up to 3600 m above sea level and the glacial ski region, there is guaranteed snow throughout the year. All slopes that don’t lead through the glaciers are covered with snow by 80 machines. The valley descents can be taken until the end of the season without mixing any chemicals. Snowboarders and skiers will find their paradise in the snow park by Mittelallalin. The park is groomed all year: half pipe, kicker, rails. Furthermore, you can relax on a cozy sofa listening to good music in the “chill zone”.
