Kiotari is in the tranquil southern part of the island of Rhodos. Endless beaches, crystal clear water, a wonderful local climate and a magical unspoilt region. This detached villa is in the countryside with no neighbouring buildings but still close to the tiny, original town centre and Kiotari beach. The lively hotel area is at a safe distance. Further north-east is cosmopolitan Lindos with its antique Acropolis and Pefki with a huge selection of restaurants, shops and entertainment. Further south there are more lonely beaches and bays to discover. The local towns have retained their original character. At the southern point, by the surfer paradise of Prasonissi the seas north and south of Rhodos meet by a narrow headland. Kiotari is easily accessible. It is easy to get around the whole island from here.

We stayed at Villa Chevalier in September 09 and had a wonderful family holiday. The villa was totally private with lovely views of the sea. The pool area and outside seating was wonderful and was very well used! Inside, the decor is beautiful, kitchen is immense and the lounge has a huge TV if you ever get rain (not that we did!). I'd recommend the villa for anyone looking for a relaxing escape.

Absolutely wonderful! The accomodations were just right! We especially enjoyed the beautiful pool, and the fast, free internet was a blessing. The location was very convenient for all we wanted to see and do. Very highly recommended!

Hervorragendes Ferienhaus

Wir haben einen Familienurlaub mit 6 Personen und 1 Baby dort verbracht. Dazu war das Haus bestens geeignet, Kinderbett und Kinderstuhl wurden freundlicherweise zur Verfügung gestellt. Dadurch, dass keine Nachbarn in unmittelbarer Umgebung sind kann man auch durch eigenen Lärm niemanden stören und wird auch nicht gestört. Alle Angaben und Bilder zu Haus und Umgebung stimmten genau. Auch den Hinweisen in der persönlichen Beschreibung z. B. bezüglich der Einkaufsmöglichkeiten kann man unbedenklich folgen. Der geräumige Grillplatz und die guten Sitz-/Liegemöglichkeiten außen wurden von uns ausgiebig genutzt. Die vielen Türen nach außen ermöglichen ein großzügiges Leben mit dem Garten und dem Pool. Die meisten Fenster sind mit Fliegengittern versehen, so daß man ohne Getier nachts bei offenem Fenster schlafen kann. Der Vermieter ist sehr hilfsbereit.

Wir haben die Woche in Kiotari sehr genossen. Das Anwesen ist so schön, wie die Bilder es dastellen. Es ist nicht nur schön sondern auch die Ausstattung und Qualität sind gediegen und bietet absolute Privatphäre.

Von der Terasse aus hat man eine wunderbare Sicht auf das Meer.

Es liegt im Hanglage nah am Strand ( ca. 600 M.) Was zu gleicherzeit auch ein (kleines) Nachteil ist, da die Durchgangsstrasse in Hörweite liegt, aber dies wirkt nicht wirklich störend. Abends ist es sehr ruhig.

Supermarkt, Metger und Bäcker sind leicht zu erreichen.

Die erste Woche von Oktober war für uns die ideale Reisezeit. Das Wetter (26/27 Grad) war ideal. Die Wassertemperatur (sowohl Pool als Meer) war sehr angenehm.

Das Preis-Qualitätverhältnis fanden wir in Ordnung.

Traumurlaub

Wir (2 Erwachsene mit 7jähriger Tochter) und ein befreundetes Paar waren im Mai 2009 in dieser wunderschönen, gepflegten Unterkunft. Da wäre immer noch locker Platz für 1 weiteres Paar gewesen.

Täglich haben wir uns Eis gemacht in der hervorragend ausgestatteten Küche mit Maulbeeren aus dem Garten. Apfelbäume, Birnen, Orangen, Zitronen, Feigen, Thymian, Rosmarin und vieles mehr wächst da noch. Die gebratenen Tauben fliegen einem zwar nicht in den Mund, aber an dem 10 Minuten entfernten Strand kann man bei sehr nettem Service hervorragend essen.

Der Vermieter ist diskret abwesend, aber wenn man ihn braucht ganz in der Nähe zu finden und sehr hilfsbereit.

Der Pool ist wirklich so schön wie auf den Bildern und nachts beleuchtet, ohne dass er von außen einsehbar wäre.

Das Anwesen ist alleinstehend am Hang und steht gewissermaßem auf historischem Untergrund (uralte griechische Tempelanlage). Wenn man genau sucht, kann man im Garten noch Mauern aus dieser Zeit finden.

Bei Anreise mit dem Auto sollte man darauf achten, dass dieses nicht zu flach auf der Straße liegt. Die Zufahrt ist noch etwas steinig.

Fazit: Sicher nicht sehr billig, aber wirklich jeden Cent wert.

Wir haben für das nächste Jahr schon wieder gebucht. Es gibt auf der Insel noch viel zu entdecken und wir freuen uns schon jetzt darauf.
