Stand-alone villa is for 2 people. All rooms are on the 1st floor with a lot of living space. Living with glass panel wall leading to the wind-protected, sunny patio, hallway/guest bathroom. Living room (51 m²) with eating corner, open kitchen, sitting corner, TV corner. Roomy bedroom, double bed with 2 beds. Dressing table, dresser. Cloak room in connection with bathroom bath/shower/toilet. Bathroom furniture/washstand. Furnishing very complete. Use dishwasher & washer after consultation. Dog allowed after consultation. Large garden, grass & flower corners. Parking space on the drive way. Location 1A, 3 min to the beach by foot, 8 min to city center. Path through dunes to the beach & in the forested dunes surrounding the Korfwater trail. Bar/restaurants in city, supermarket, beach café, barber, shoe store, bike rental. Bus connection to Alkmaar train station - Den Helder. Biking route along sea and through the dunes to Schoorl, Bergen, Egmond

Ideal combination for active holidays and rest

The house is very spaceous for two people, bright, fully equipped and clean, so that you can feel like at home. Since the owner lives near by, she helped us with all informations and services. The house is located at the peacefull edge of the village Petten (where market, souvenir shop, restaurant, information office are), right behind the dunes. You cannot resist walking or cycling there, because romantic dunes and sandy beaches of the North Sea are a paradise for walkers and cyclists. So, you have to rent a bike (you can do it in the camp near by) and enjoy the landscape - it is very easy to ride, since there are so many bike ways and no hills. The position in North Holland is also ideal for making daily sightseeing tours - Amsterdam, Edam, Haarlem, Alkmaar, Delft, Texel island ...are all close by. Of course, you cannot spend your holiday just sunbathing on the beach and swimming, because the weather on the North Sea is unpredictable - the wind can blow powerfully and the water is quite cold. But you can spend an unforgetable active holiday.

Comfortable, well equipped, warm and clean. Access to internet via own laptop and RJ45 cable, plus BBC 1 and 2 and some other English TV channels were an added bonus.

Few minutes walk to beach, with plenty of walking and cycling in the area.

Good base for much of North Holland.

27.07.08 Familie S, Worms: Wir sind gereist von Worms nach Petten zu Hester, unserer netten Vermieterin. Als erste Gäste waren wir ganze sieben Tage hier. Wir wurden freundlich aufgenommen und würden gerne wiederkommen. Die Zeit ist viel zu schnell verflossen, gerne hätten wir das schöne Haus, den großen Garten, die Sonne, den Strand und das Meer noch länger genossen. Auf Wiedersehen im nächsten Jahr !.*** 13.08.07 Fam. S, St.-Augustin: Es war eine kurzfristige Entscheidung hier nach Petten zu kommen und wurde für unsere Erholung ein voller Erfolg! Nicht nur das schöne Wetter und die abwechslungsreiche, wunderschöne Landschaft waren dazu ausschlaggebend, sondern insbesondere die gute “Herberge”. Das Haus bot einen angenehmen Komfort und wir haben – immer gut ausgeruht, da wir gut gebettet waren – jeden Tag die Terrasse genossen, die Nähe zum Meer und den weiten Ausblick über das Korfwater. Wir freuen uns schon auf’s Wiedersehen, insbesondere auch mit der netten Vermieterin.

Erholsame Ferien

Wir sind gerade zurück aus dem ser netten und familiären Haus und haben uns nicht nur prima erholt, sondern auch sehr wohlgefühlt. Soeben haben wir eine Buchung für das nächste Jahr vorgenommen und freuen uns schon jetzt, dann wieder in Petten sein zu dürfen.
Das Haus ist nicht nur sehr schön, sondern auch toll gelegen. Bis zum Strand sind es nur 4 Minuten und in der anderen Richtung ist man nach 3 Minuten schon im Naturschutzgebiet. 20 Autominuten ist Alkmaar entfernt: Eine Stadt mit historischem Stadtkern und dem sehr bekannten Käsemarkt.

Einfach traumhaft ...

Schon nach wenigen Stunden hätten wir zu gerne für einen weiteren Urlaub buchen wollen, aber leider war zu unseren möglichen Zeiträumen alles ausgebucht. Kein Wunder - hier hat einfach alles gestimmt: strandnah, gemütlich eingerichtet, es hat an nichts gefehlt. Auch unser Vierbeiner durfte mit in dieses schöne Urlaubsdomizil.
Unsere Vermieterin Hester war genauso nett und sympathisch, wie unser erster Eindruck von ihr am Telefon war. Bei Ihr haben wir uns wie Zuhause gefühlt. Sie hatte auch viele interessante Tipps für die Erkundung der Umgebung.
Wir haben die Ruhe genossen, nach vielen Strandgängen hatten wir auch die Möglichkeit für Sonnenbäder auf der Terrasse.
Wir werden schon jetzt versuchen für das nächste Jahr zu planen, damit wir uns wieder bei Hester erholen können.

Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit, die wir bei Ihnen verbringen durften.
