Nearby the chalet begins a footpath (senior fitted), on which you can follow the historical watercourse with a wonderful panorama. The 'Pfad der Sinne' lies on 1700 metres; it has 12 several stations on a length of about 2.7 km. On the way you can fell the nature with all senses. At the 'maison de la foret' you can endeavour the fauna and the birds of the region, and visit an exposition of plants. Go for a walk or promenade, make yourself comfort and enjoy the wonderful landscape, which will lead you through woods, valleys, glades, or meadows. There are several footpaths on a total length of 150 km. For mountain-bikers, the region is ideal, for there are special routes. Carry on service in several mountain railways (openings seasonal). Worth to visit is also the termes of Saillon and the vineyards.

In the town there are two sport shops where you can get 15% to 20% off for renting (from 6 days on, no reservation required).

Skiing Information:

Chalet altitude chalet 1.600 m; top of the ski slopes 3.330 m on the Mt Fort glacier.; 410 km of alpine slopes, 95 ski lifts, biggest Swiss ski area with the centre Verbier. 10 km sledge run, accessible via cable car. The '4 valleys' are knows for it's deep snow and El dorado of varieties, some of the marked ski routes belong to the most beautiful of the Alpes, f.e. from the Mont-Fort glacier to Tortin. The route from Attelas (2.727 metres) over the Vallon d'Arbi to La Tzoumaz (height 1.500 metres) is also very charming for good skiers. But there are enough ski runs for families and beginners. The most of the ski runs are above the timber-line border. The Cabane de Mont Fort above La Chaux has a good valaisan cooking with a phenomenal panorama vis a vis Grand Combin (about 4.000 metres). There are also snow parks in La Chaux and at the glacier at Col des Gentianes.
