Are you planning a romantic holiday with your other half? Or a family holiday with the kids? Or a holiday with friends?, whatever you are planning, our holiday home suits all occasions, living space (120 m² ) over 3 floors, lovingly furnished and well designed, a garden and terrace over 6 m², living/dining area of 48 m², storage room, bathroom/toilet, bedroom with 2 double beds and hallway, cable TV, CD player, radio, telephone and internet connection at the desk. Games and books provided. Kitchen fully furnished (kitchen counter, dishwasher, fridge/freezer combo, 4 ring ceramic hob, oven); BBQ location in the garden, safe, with its own garden and terrace (patio furniture). Table cloths, bed linen and hand towels provided. Fresh towels every 3 days, fresh sheets every week, bread roll delivery service with optional breakfast service for an extra charge. Parking space located near the house; a garage can also be rented for 2 Euro a night. From summer 2008: sauna with Jacuzzi available.

The idyllic and world renowned climatic spa Schoenau am Koenigsee is located in an alpine national park/biosphere reserve area. The holiday home is located roughly in the middle between Berchtesgaden and Koenigsee on the outskirts of a forest. The location can be reached by train, car or plane. Unterstein, the center of the area is located only a few minutes away by foot. Here you can find everything you need for day to day living, e.g banks, bakers, butchers, post office, bus stop, supermarket, swimming pool, salina, etc. Salzburg, which has two theatres, is only 12 miles away and there are bus connections available. The same holds for the spa resort town of Bad Reichenhall. There are many day-trip destinations within a short distance of our holiday home, Ruhpolding, Inzell, Reit im Winkl can all be reached by bus or car. Above all, you can us our house as a base for many attractive hikes and bicycle or mountain tours or simply relax and unwind in the garden.

Additional information about rental rates

  • The above prices are for 2 adults for one week in the house = 7 nights self catering including visitors tax, additional costs, bed linen and towels and final cleaning charge. For each additional person we charge 25 Euro extra per night. Children under five are free though we charge an extra charge of 25 Euro a week for utilities. Children between 6 and 11 are charged at a general rate of 75 Euro a week. Children from 12 -17 are charged at a flat fee of 100 Euro a week.
  • Free morning bread roll delivery service. You can also book breakfast: small breakfast. Coffee, milk, cocoa or tea, 2 bread rolls or two slices of bread, butter or margarine, jam and honey, €5.50 per person: large breakfast, Coffee, cocoa, milk or tea, 2 bread rolls, 1 croissant, butter or margarine, sliced meat and cheese, jam and honey, 1 glass of multivitamin juice, 1 egg, either cornflakes or muesli, €7.50 per person.
  • Children's breakfast: Milk, Cocoa or tea, butter or margarine, jam or nutella, cornflakes with milk or fruit juice, €3.50 per child.

Summer: In summer our holiday home is a good base for many day trips and hikes, mountain tours or bicycle tours. Koenigsee is 20 minutes away by foot. For older guests our house is centrally located and very quiet. We are situated on the walking trail that leads from Berchtesgaden to Koenigsee, suitable for young and old alike. You can also relax in peace in our house at the edge of the forest with a view of the Watzmann. The many attractions in the Berchtesgadener Land will surprise you, and we will be happy to give you advice and let you know about great places to visit in this wonderful area”Whoever God loves, he has placed in this place (Ludwig Ganghofer from “Die Martinsklause”)

Winter: For the winter visitor there are walking trails which are cleared daily. Watching the feeding of the wild animals in an experience for both young and old. The cross country skiing runs in Koenigssee and Schoenau are easily reachable from our house. You can book a coach ride in the local area or pay a visit to the Hintersee area and try out a spot of curling. Following in the footsteps of our world famous toboggan and luge riders from the Berchtesgadener Land why not try out the spa guest tobogganing or ride the ice canal in a bob sleigh. Our Watzmann thermal spa provides even fresher, cleaner air for you to relax.
