Our house lies outside the city boarders of Köstenberg, a small, charming and clean village in the uplands of the Kulmbach district in the Franconian forest. It is surrounded by a charming garden. You are free to enjoy this greenery which is a part of the house. In the summer, the trees outside the house offer cool shade so that you can relax. You can undertake hikes right from the doorstep. Mountain-bike routes are well marked. Even in winter, our house is an ideal starting point for various activities, cross-country ski-tracks run directly outside the house, you need to only step out and ski away. A beautiful and interesting ski-run with ski lift is not far from here. Our house stands out due to its relaxed, individual architecture and can not be compared to the typical row house. The independent houses in our residential complex, as well as the quiet surroundings (cul-de-sac) are a paradise for all, who seek peace and relaxation.

The 1st holiday home with charming, comfortable interiors in wood, offers you a generous living space of 25 m ², with a stylishly integrated kitchen with dining place. The bedroom with big double bed and adjustable slate frames as well as the shower add to its homely feel-good character. The large living room window allows you to have an unobstructed view of the Thuringian Forest with good weather. You can breakfast or sunbathe on the rustic bench in front of the house. Another bench is also provided under trees. The entrance area is roofed over. The apartment can be separately accessed from outside.

Köstenberg belongs to the Presseck district and lies at a height of 600 m with a marvelous view of the densely-wooded uplands. Presseck, hugely popular among tourists, in the Franconian Forest Nature Park offers more than 80 km of marked hiking trails, even the largely popular Franconia Walk passes through here, Bicycle trails in the valley of the wild Rodach towards Flößerstadt Wallenfels, towards Kronach and so forth. Indoor swimming pools and open-air pools as well as the new thermal bath in Bad Steben or the Aqua Riese adventure pool in the Adam Ries City Pool in Staffelstein can be reached in no time. Centrally located for day trips: Kronach, Feste Rosenberg, Wallenfels, Flößerstadt, Kulmbach, Plassenburg and the Beer metropolis, Bayreuth, R. Wagner festival Bamberg, 1000-year cathedral, Fichtelgebirge and Franconian Switzerland. In winter the place is extremely snow safe and offers 60 km of cross-country ski tracks and chairlift. The inns in the town are famous for their food.
