The charming, newly built estate is situated in a quiet neighbourhood of villas, only 2 km away from the world-famous Erinvale golf course, in a small security enclosure with 10 detached houses around a small park. The house boasts a spacious living space with high gables and modern, high-quality leather furniture, open fireplace (gas), Flat screen-TV, DVD and access to the terrace. The dining place with seating for up to 6 persons is situated opposite the fully-equipped, open kitchen with granite-work surfaces and kitchen bar. The garden is small and secluded and has a large pool (7 x 2.50 meter) with a circular wooden deck. Ideal starting point for golfers, tennis-players, water enthusiasts and hikers- all cape town sights, the famous vineyard Hermanus with whale-watching and the garden routes are in the vicinity or can be easily reached. The valley of Lourensford offers marvelous paths at the foot of the Helderberg and direct access to wine estates, like Vergelegen and Morgenster.

With approx. 30,000 inhabitants the Somerset West offers many amenities: You have a wonderful view of the False Bay and the Table Mountain, the Hottentott Holland and the Helderberg in the background and there is to that, the Somerset-Mall, a shopping paradise with more than 100 shops and restaurants – open all 7 days. A large number of exquisite restaurants, like Ou Pastorie, Di´Vine, Stefanie´s Place, The Famous Butcher’s Grill and many more make the selection very difficult. The famous Vergelegen wine estate with the Top 100 Restaurant Lady Phillips lies right next door and the enchanting Erinvale golf hotel in the Afrikaans style with 2 restaurants with excellent kitchens, bars and a new spa is at a distance of only 2 km. When required you can also find very well equipped, German-speaking doctors in Somerset West. From Cape Town you can reach Somerset in less than 40 minutes (approx 50 km on the N2 motorway), and 25 minutes from the airport.

  • Both bathrooms have windows with blinds and washstands made of granite. The shower in the bath tub in the master bedroom bath is enclosed in a glass cubicle and there is floor heating. A big, heated towel rack hangs in the shower as well as the guest WC. Equipped with towels, bath towels, beach robes, weighing scale and hairdryer.

  • The main bedroom has direct access to its own bath as well as an entry to the canopied terrace on the outskirts. It boasts a ceiling-high built-in cupboards with a large Flat-TV (5 German Programs) and a safe. The beds can be placed individually or be joined together, the quilt (blanket) is king-size (155 x 220 cm). The high headboards, the attractive curtains and the modern bedside tables (Eileen) with stylish lamps give a chic, appealing impression. Likewise, the 2nd bedroom with the large French bed has access to the terrace, a ceiling high built-in cupboards, a safe and king-size quilts. Headboard, fabrics and mirror have been designed in the subtle South-African style. The shower with toilet is located opposite the room.

Arrival and Home Care: Whether you come from the Cape Town Airport or from the Garden Route, our holiday home is very easy to locate. We will gladly recommend a very reliable car rental service or, if desired, we can receive you at the Cape Town Airport. The small residential complex lies enchantingly and peacefully at the end of a dead-end street in a secure enclosure with a view of the vineyards and the Helderberg. Our German house-keeper has the keys ready for you and is at your disposal for your questions and wishes. The bed linen is changed once a week and the house is cleaned by our long-time trusted house maid. The floor heating and the open fireplace (gas, dirt-free) will keep you cosy on cooler days. A Weber-Grill is available on the terrace, with teak furniture, for delicious steaks on the charcoal grill.

Golf: The world famous Erinvale golf course lies only 2 km away – a dream for every golfer: The 18-hole world championship golf course was designed by Gary Player and was the venue for the SAA-Open in 2003 and 2004. It offers fantastic views of the Hottentott-Mountains and the False Bay. With the house booking, you will receive details regarding the tee planning (in the daytime or evening rounds – 9 hole). The Golf-Clubhouse with restaurant and terrace, Driving Range, Putting Green, Pro-Shop, Tennis courts and the enchanting 4-star Erinvale-Hotel in the Afrikaans style with a new Spa and excellent kitchen lie on the beautifully well-maintained 260 hectare property. 7 additional golf courses are situated at a distance of 15 minutes, 15 more in the wine land and in Cape Town can be reached in less than 1 hour. The world famous Francourt-Golf Resort is at a distance of ca. 4 hours by car (or a short flight from Cape Town Airport to George).

Das Ferienhaus entspricht genau den Angaben des Vermieters.Es liegt in einer wunderbar ruhigen Gegend.
Die Unterlagen waren perfekt und das Personal vor Ort super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Man kann von hier aus
gut zu Tagsausflügen starten. Wir werden dieses Jahr wieder dort unseren Urlaub verbringen und würden dieses Haus auch jederzeit ohne Zögern weiterempfehlen.

Das Ferienhaus ist in einer ausgesprochen ruhigen, privaten und geschlossenen Anlage. Es entspricht exakt der Beschreibung und den Angaben im Inserat. Die Vermieterin hat perfekte Unterlagen vorbereitet, so dass eigentlich nichts schief gehen kann. Das Haus ist jederzeit weiterzuempfehlen. Auch besten Freunden. Besonders zu empfehlen für Golfer, da es in unmittelbarer Nähe zu dem weltberühmten Golfplatz Erinvale liegt und weitere Plätze in 15 Autominuten erreichbar sind. Im Haus liegen Unterlagen aus die über Restaurants, Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Ausflüge informieren. Regelmäßig kommt eine sehr nette Hausmaid, die wieder für Ordung,Sauberkeit und frische Bettwäsche sorgt. Insgesamt ein tolles Haus, das keine Wünsche offen lässt.
