Through a consistent advancement of the lifts - with the construction of a 6 person circular gondola tram and the construction of two 6 seat chair lifts - the ski area at Arber has risen to become the most modern ski area in Germany. An 8 km ski-run leads you directly from the Arber summit to Bodenmais and to public swimming hall.

Golf:
The Oberzwieselau golf course: if you are coming from Deggendorf, the Oberzwieselau golf course can be reached by taking the 'Zwiesel Mitte' exit towards Frauenau - a total of three kilometres. The clubhouse is located next to the 400 year old drive way in the centre of the 18-hole championship course which is harmonically integrated into the landscape - also extremely close is the Oberzwieselau castle. An area of 100 hectares from the property of Count Mellin Wolffersdorffschen that was used earlier for farming and forestry or as a park, makes for the ideal basis for a golf course integrated into the landscape. For the construction, only minimal earth moving was necessary. Natural obstacles in the form of ancient deciduous trees, rushing creeks and still ponds give every hole its own individual beauty and makes each hole an adventure. Due to the generous space, there are hardly ever problems with hitting.
