The house is set on a hilltop within olive groves with beautiful views over the mountains, a wide valley and its hillsides. Just a few minutes away from the small white village of Alcaucín and only 25 minutes away from the sea it offers the ideal combination of country and beach vacation. It is private, charming and of high quality, full of character and space. The whole house has terracotta tiled floors, wooden ceilings with traditional Andalusian furnishings and decoration. All the rooms have windows out to the lovely countryside, so a light and harmonious ambience prevails. Built on 120 m² offering 3 bedrooms with a full bath, separate WC, Terra-cotta tile floors, a large, well-equipped kitchen, fireplace with a large sitting area and a dining table for six people. There is a patio with a barbecue, from which a few steps lead us down to the swimming pool and terrace. Beaches and water sports at Torre del Mar are reachable within easy driving and the national parkland is close by.

Driving along the Costa del Sol overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, about 30 minutes away from Malaga Airport you will enter La Axarquia, a rural region still unspoilt by tourism. Green countryside with white-washed villages, tranquility and a different way of life under the year-round sunshine of Andalucia are waiting for you. Going up from Torre del Mar into the mountains you will reach Lake Viñuela, a man-made reservoir surrounded by mountains, not only providing the area with water but also forming a spectacular and harmonic part of attraction of this unique and scenic landscape. Heading up towards an enormous U-shaped gap in the mountains you will reach the National Park Sierra Tejeda and the white-washed village of Alcaucín, nestled into this stunning countryside with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, the valley and Lake Viñuela. Alcaucín offers simple shopping, bars, restaurants, bank and doctors. Torre del Mar with beaches and all facilities is 20 min away.

Information worth mentioning
Being the owners of Casa La Loma we personally take care of the maintenance. You will find everything well looked after and squeaky clean. That applies particularly to bathrooms, kitchen and pool. Unpleasant surprises are virtually impossible!
Distances and sightseeing
It will take you 5 minutes to Alcaucín village with restaurants and bars, shops for your day-to-day needs, pharmacy, medical centre, bank with cash machine. 25 minutes to the sea and Torre del Mar with large shopping centre, many restaurants and the longest beach promenade in the Costa del Sol and golfing. in 30 minutes you reach Nerja with its beautiful town centre and famous caves. 45 minutes to Málaga and the airport. Within 80 minutes you reach Marbella, Ronda and Granada (Alhambra Palace, Sierra Nevada) and within 2,5 hours Gibraltar, Sevilla and Córdoba. Golf: The 18-Hole / Par 71-Course “Baviera Golf” in Torrox is 30 min. away. According to club information 'Baviera Golf is an even course characterized by its wide greens with many movements and the great variety of obstacles which offer a big range of strokes and an ideal design for all types of handicap.'
