'I 99 olivi'('The 99 olive trees') is a beautiful old house situated amongst a grove of olive trees. It is located less than 2km from the beach in Imperia (Italy) in the heart of the Riviera dei fiori. The house has been converted into attractive holiday apartments which are available to rent on a weekly basis. The apartments were fully refurbished in October 2006. The holiday cottage 'I 99 olivi' is located in the Montolivo's property, in Imperia Oneglia, on a hill, 'Le Cascine', overlooking the town. The ancient village called 'Borgo delle Cascine' was once a rural area and is now one of the most exclusive residential areas in Imperia. Within easy walking distance, you can visit the gorgeous Park of Villa Grock, named after the famous Swiss clown. From 'I 99 Olivi', amid orange and centuries-old olive trees, you can also enjoy the marvellous view of the bay of Imperia and the 'Alpi Marittime', the most western part of the Alps.

'Elvira' is about 70 square meters (750 square feet) and is located on the first floor. It is the largest flat in the cottage and consists of two bedrooms (one with a double bed and one with two single beds), a living room, a bathroom and a kitchen. The spacious living room has large windows with impressive views of Oneglia, Porto Maurizio and the sea. A narrow path behind the house leads you to the panoramic terrace from where you can enjoy a gorgeous view of the whole bay of Imperia.

Either travelling on the old Roman via Aurelia (you can enjoy marvellous views of the coast) or on the motorway you can reach Alassio (20km), Cervo (12km), Bussana, Dolceacqua, Apricale, Sanremo (20km) M. Carlo, Cannes and many other fantastic places both in the Riviera dei Fiori and in the Cote d'Azur.

The surroundings: Situated on the north-western coast of Italy, in Liguria, the province of Imperia stretches for about 50 kms, like a narrow ribbon between the Alps and the sea. Imperia is: sunshine, olive and citrus trees, mediterranean scrub, beautiful sand and rocky beaches, crystal water. The climate which is mild for most of the year is typical of this area being sheltered by the Alps from the northern winds.

Äusserst saubere, geschmackvoll eingerichtete Wohnung; viel Sorge fürs Detail und alle Ausstattungen funktionierten 1A.
Garten absolut genial: Sicht, Ruhe, gepflegt, und hatten sie fast immer nur für uns. (Grill aber zog nicht richtig, zum Chef-Frust ;-)
Die Vermieterin war sehr nett, pünktlich und hilfsbereit.
Immer wieder gerne da!!!

Wenn man wirklich nörgeln will - schwer!
- Nur das Zimmer mit den zwei Einzelbetten war eher klein (für 2 Erwachsene).
- Angabe: "Nicht weit von den Stränden und vom Ortszentrum entfernt (näher als 2 km)" stimmt in Luftlinie vielleicht. Auto war fast ein Muss - die steilen Treppen/Gässchen Richtung Stadt haben wir nie genommen (Kleinkind dabei).
- Heizungsrechung war für unsere Erwartungen überraschend hoch.
Aber das wäre auch wirklich alles - sonst war es PERFEKT!
