Casa Rondine is an apartment for 2-4 people in the small romantic village of Petroio. The apartment was recently renovated and is simply and comfortably furnished. Suitable for guests who want to go on a day-trip to Florence or Assisi, or are looking for a cosy 'home' to feel at ease and relax in. The apartment is in the centre of the village, but still has a wonderful view from every room of the beautiful landscape with olives and forests. There is a wonderful reading room in addition to the bedroom and eat-in kitchen. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a wonderful Tuscan meal. You can go hiking right from the apartment or even explore the surrounding area by bicycle. The village gives you a pleasant sense of security and a wonderful view of the vastness of this unique landscape. We look forward to your visit. Welcome to Casa Rondine!

Nearest Airport: Florenz at 100 Kilometres
Nearest Train: Sinalunga at 10 Kilometres
Nearest Motorway: A1 Ausfahrt Bettolle at 20 Kilometres
Car: necessary
The medieval village of Petroio, known for its terracotta and good olive oil, is located in the south of Tuscany. As it is on a hill, you have a great view down into the Valdorchia valley. Toward Pienza and Montalcino. Pienza with its tasty Pecorino cheese and Montepulciano with its good Chianti are about 10 km away. Even though Petroio is centrally located, about 15 min from the A1 Motorway, the area still has pure quiet and relaxation to offer. You can go hiking right from the apartment or even explore the surrounding area by bicycle. There is a butcher, bakery, a small grocery store and restaurant with bar. In Sinalunga (10 km away), there are banks, a shopping centre and train station. (You can be in Rome in about 2 hrs.). We live in the same village and would be happy to help you or give you some tips.
