Centrally located near national parks, volcanoes, water rafting, fishing scuba diving and is only 25 minutes from Liberia airport. It is easily accessible to the country's gre4atest ecological treasures, national parks and wildlife preserves. The cascading waterfalls, lush rainforest, and stunning beaches as well as the ideal climate makes this a worthwhile trip to visit this part of the country. Our villa has 3 bedrooms, 2,5 baths totally furnished and tastefully decorated with tropical decor that is true of the Costa Rican culture. The balcony in the master bedroom has a sweeping view of the ocean and all the other rooms also offers views of the ocean and the coves. Great location!

Bahia Pez Vela resort is a 5 minute trip to Coco beach where the action is- Coco beach is where the grocery store, bank, post office, fine restaurants, open market and casino are located. This is the well known fishing town as well as the tourist spots, where they can walk down the street and do all the side shopping they want. Our location is central to all of Guanacastes tourist attractions: volcanoes, rainforests, cloud forests, national parks, waterfalls, beaches and other ecological attractions the country offers. After a day or days of activities, one can go up the hill to Pez Vela and relax and enjoy the peace, quiet and serenity of the place. Truly a paradise on earth! Notes to the rental rates

  • All rental rates are in US currency and must be paid directly to the villa owners. Reservations are confirmed with a 40% deposit and balance due 30 days before arrival. Payments can be made - personal check, money order or Travelers check. $ 250.00 security deposit required which is refunded 10 days after departure of the guests. Reservation confirmation will be sent as well as a short term rental agreement once everything is finalized.
  • Any expenses incurred during the stay such as daily cleaning of the villa, internet usage, tour guides etc that are not related to the rental of the villa must be paid directly to the management office.
  • Holidays such as Xmas, New Years, Thanksgiving and Easter week (Semana Santa) -rates are normally higher because of its high demand. Please make your reservations early if you plan on being in Costa Rica during these holidays as they get booked early.

  • There are 2.5 baths in the villa. The master bath is in the masterbedroom with a shower an d shbower enclosure. The 2nd bath is for the buewst baths that is located in between the 2 bedrooms. It has a shower and shower enclosure. All the bathrooma re fully tiled with running hot and cold water. On the main entrance in the liower level is the guests powder room equipped with two sinks and a toliet but no shower faacilities. All the bathrooms are modern and cater to the discriminating guests and their families.

  • Villa Hermosa consists of 3 bedrooms in the upper deck which offers the visitors the most beautiful views of the ocean and the cove. The master bedroom has a large King Size bed - has its own TV and a balcony which overlooks the entire Pacific Ocean. The 2nd bedroom has a Queen and a Twin bed and also a view of the ocean. The 3rd bedroom has 2 Twin beds and a pull out bed for extra 1 accommodation. The view from th8s bedroom is the cove and the ocean. All 3 bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans, although there's C/A with the control for all the bedrooms. All the bedrooms have screens, so that one can enjoy the fresh air as well as the cool air that the ceiling fans offers and at the same time can hear the waves in the ocean. This might just lure you to sleep! The villa is away from the next door neighbors and because of its elevation, one can have complete privacy for you and your family. Sit on the balcony and soak on the beauty of the ocean and its emerald blue water. Enjoy!

There is a cleaning fee of $ 20.00. Daily maid service is an option. Should the guests require a daily maid service, please inform the management. Linens and towels are provided. There is a separate laundry room equipped with washer and dryer as well as an ironing board. Outside by the dining area is an outside laundry facility with clothes line to hang wet towels and swimming suits. Guests will have an identifying wrist band to insure that you are guests of the villa . There are 2 pools in the resort. One is on top of the hill that overlooks the entire peninsula and the other pool is the infinity pool with lounge chairs down by the beach and the restaurant. Our resort has their own restaurant (Picante) which has fairly reasonable prices and offers different types of menus to cater to the different culture of our guests. Sip your margarita , enjoy the view, and mix with the other guests and you have it all. Need a massage? a babysitter? groceries delivered? Tour guide? Can be arranged.

Because of the central location of Bahia Pez Vela resort, guests can choose to go on tours and have it arranged from English speaking guides. Check with the office. Arenal V olcano and tabacon Hot Springs, Buena Vista Canopy tour, Congo Trail Canopy tour, Corobica River Float (Rafting cxlass 1-11), White Water Rafting (Rafting class 111-1v), Sea Turtle Nesting tour, Guaitil Artisan village, Rincon de la Vieja Volcano, Nicaragua for a day etc..

Picante restaurant- serves North American and Local delicacies at moderate prices. Open until 10:00 p.m. Catering is available for occasions such as weddings, parties or just any other occassion. Security

There are 2 security gates the guests have to come through. One is the main gate as you enter Playa Ocotal. This is the gate where any one that goes into Playa ocotal entrance has to come through. Ocotal resort, private homes, exclusive Bed and Breakfast homes as well as Bahia Pez Vela guests have to come through this gate. Further up the hill as you approach the resort, there will be a sign (Bahia Pez Vela) and again this is the security gate that is exclusive for the guests and residents of Pez Vela. Here the guests can pick up the key package if they arrive past office hours otherwise, the key can be picked up from the office down below the hill. There is ma 24 hr security guards in the complex.

Golf Information:

There is no golf facilities offered in the resort. However, one can arrange to use golf facilities offered in other areas of Costa Rica.
