Avisania Villa is a lovely country house (completed in Summer 2007), carefully equipped, offering privacy and high quality accommodation. It is situated in the small and typical Greek village of Vassilopoulata: a peaceful and tranquil village, approx. 5 km from the picturesque yachting port of Agia Efimia, embedded in the high mountains of Pylaros. The famous beach of Myrtos, definitely the most beautiful beach of Kefalonia, is only 5 km from the villa. Surrounding Agia Efimia there are numerous clear blue pebble coves and beaches, ideal for snorkelling. The location is ideal for nature lovers and hikers. You can walk for example the main road to Agia Efimia. You will pass through an old traditional village, above the valley of Pylaros and facing Agia Efimia and the sea. You can also walk to the beautiful Monstery of Themata (approx. 4 km) which offers spectacular views. Vassilopoulata is located in the centre of the island, and is thus an ideal base for exploring the island.

The next village of Makriotika with a friendly tavern and a nice traditional café is only 10 min safe walk from the Villa. Next harbour is Agia Efimia: with a lot of pebble coves ( ideal for snorkelling), car hire, rental of motor- and sailing boats, diving school, taverns, cafés and shopping facilities. In Agia Efimia you can take a ferry and visit the neighbour island of Ithaca. The famous beach of Myrtos (one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece) is only 5 km from the villa. In approx. 15 km distance you can visit the port of Sami and its ancient Acropolis, natural beauties of the island such as Karavomilos, Melissani Lake (blue cave), Drogaratti Cave (150 mil. years old with rare stalagmites and stalactites), the impressive beach of Antisamos or the Monastery of Grilia (with fascinating views of Ithaca and the Ionian Sea. Furthermore, you can arrange a date for a riding horse course, which takes place in a beautiful landscape close to Sami.

  • Rates are for an occupancy of up to 2 persons.
    For an occupancy of 3-4 persons the rates/week are:
    Early and Late Season: 840.00 Euros
    Low Season: 1.050.00
    Middle Season: 1.260.00 Euros
    High Season: 1.470.00 Euros
    For a 5th person there is an extra charge of 70.00 Euros/week;
    Babies under 2 years free of charge.
    Maid service, change of linen and towels every 4th day.
  • In order to guarantee your reservation a deposit of 30% is required by booking (by wire transfer).
    The balance is payable either prior your arrival (by wire transfer) or on your arrival day (cash or by traveller cheques).
    Cancellation policy:
    Cancellation must be in writing.
    50 days or more prior your arrival date: forfeit of booking deposit
    49 - 28 days prior your arrival date: 60% of rental cost
    27 - 15 days prior your arrival date: 80% of rental cost
    14 days or less prior your arrival date: 100% of rental cost

Terraces: The villa is equipped with spacious terraces offering both sunny and shaded areas. The pool and the pool terrace (with 6 relaxing sun beds and sun umbrella) are on the south-western side. This location offers plenty of sun during the whole day, privacy and a panoramic view of the sea, Agia Efimia and the surrounding mountains. On the eastern side there are 2 terraces made of natural stone and furnished with comfortable garden furniture. There is plenty of space for children to play. A very old olive tree adds Mediterranean charm and provides shade and pleasant coolness even in the hottest summer months.

We stayed last year in this villa. The villa is much more beautiful than the pictures show. We had a marvellous time with our family with three kids, aged 16,14 and 11. The pool, the terraces, the house itself were really beautiful. We loved the restaurant in the village Makriotika where all the locals meet.
