Scenery: The 80 x 30 km region of Las Alpujarras is located between the national park Sierra Nevada and the Mediterranean Sea. Characteristic of the region are cliff landscapes, beautiful valleys, wild streams and deep gorges. The picture book weather of the south is dominant here. At Alpujarras, we are dealing with the Andalusian Sierra which is known for the contrasting beauty of its landscape, the diverse changes in elevation and the structure of its charming villages. The myths and the black legends are entwined around disagreeable highwaymen and used to provide for real episodes of bandits in the area.

Shopping facilities: Shopping facilities in Orgiva (about 4 km) and once a week you will find market day in Orgiva, here you can find fresh vegetable directly from local farmers, there is also a small Aunt-Emma store in Tablones where the finca is located. Almost directly in front of the house door you will find a car with fresh bred, eggs, fish and even a family frost wagon.

Activities: The popular excursions are: Sierra Nevada, Granada, the white villages of Alpujarras, ham from Tevelez-the highest location in Spain, the caves of Nerja, horseback riding, swimming, fishing, hiking, mountain climbing, paragliding, skiing, four wheel and motor bike tours and a lot more. For the youth, you will find two discos in Orgiva, along with an open air disco. During the summer there are often fiestas under the sky in the surrounding cities and villages. Here you will find cool wine and beer with tapas. A lot of live bands play often and the setting is simply super. There are also flamenco dancers, singing with Spanish guitar music, sangria and tapas.
