Good seclusion and electric central heating in all rooms make the house useable in all seasons. The village centre (1km) has a post office, baker, butcher, grocery shop, petrol station, kiosk and restaurant. 300 m to the cycle path to Leon - Soustons - Seignosse. 2 km to the famous Moliets golf course (designed by Trent Jones). The wide sandy beach with supervised bathing is 3km away. The inland lake (Lac de Léon, sweet water) suitable for small children, is 6km away. Huge pine woods are great for extended walks. In Courant d'Huchet nature reserve you can observe exotic plant and animal life from the boat. Several surfing schools (some German speaking), golf, archery, national tennis centre, horse riding centre, adventure playground with quad hire all close by, canoe hire 10km, go kart track 12km. Also excursions to Dax (thermal baths), Bayonne, Biarritz, St. Jean de Luz, Pyrenees (prehistoric caves), San Sebastian, Bilbao (Guggenheim museum), Bordeaux, Arcachon (Pyla dunes) or the open air museum at Sabres.
