Lisbon holiday apartment: Praca da Alegria

Only minutes away from central Lisbon, a great base for exploring the city. The apartment is actually in a quiet street so you will sleep well. And talking of sleeping, the bed is comfortable and the blinds more than adequate so you can sleep for as long as you want! (great when you have overdone it the night before!) The apartment is clean and has everything you could possibly need - iron, ironing board, toaster, kettle, plates, cutlery, glasses... a big fridge... table and chairs, big sofa bed, TV with hundreds of cable channels in every possible language!
The owner's father was waiting for us when we arrived, and he was very friendly and helpful, showing us where everything was and answering our questions. He also came to get the keys from us when we left and turned up bang on time and again was very friendly.
I would definitely recommend this property to anyone. The only downside is that you have to climb a small hill to get to the apartment - but then, Lisbon is full of hills! It's not too steep and it only takes a minute to climb but if you have problems getting around, and won't be hiring a car, then this should be taken into consideration. Oh, the biulding that the apartment is in has 2 lifts, in perfect working order, so no walking up the stairs is needed!
Lisbon is a great city, well worth a visit. We stayed a week and didn't manage to do everything we wanted, so we will be returning soon and staying in the same apartment!
