Casa Buganvillia is a typical Portuguese village house. It is about 100 yrs old, was fully-renovated. Thereby, the old charm was preserved. The cosily furnished rooms and the protected inner courtyard offers a pleasant basis for a holiday on Algarve. Both large bougainvillea form the atmosphere in the inner courtyard with their large blossoms. A small pool can be set-up for small children. It is only 2-3 mins by foot from the house to the village square of Ferragudo. There are cafes, small shops, a post office and bank there. There are many small Portuguese restaurants in Ferragudo that are within walking distance. Breakfast in the sun on the roof terrace is also possible in January or February. A wood stove provides the necessary warmth for winter evenings. There are novels by Portuguese authors and many travel guides, in order to inform yourself about the region.

Ferragudo is considered one of the most picturesque places on Algarve. Despite all the mass tourism in many Algarve cities, Ferragudo has managed to maintain its original character. About 2000 people live in Ferragudo, unfortunately only a few fishers. The small fishing harbour and the small covered market are still worth a visit. Ferragudo is an old fishing village without high-rises, many small shops, pubs, restaurants and the beautiful central village square, where you can drink a wonderful bica and watch the quiet life. And this on 300 sunny days annually.

Wir haben uns mit unseren zwei kleinen Kindern von Anfang an wohlgefühlt in dem sehr gemütlichen Ferienhaus. Es ist sauber und gut ausgestattet, vor allem der nicht einsehbare Innenhof wurde an Ostern (!) zum Lieblingsort, auch der Kinder.
Ein Auto ist zu empfehlen, Ausflüge an die Westküste und in die Berge im Hinterland, einfach toll.

Wir waren im Dezember 2008 zwei Wochen im Casa Buganvilia - schönes Häuschen, liebevoll eingerichtet, gepflegter Eindruck.
Im Winter ist nicht viel los in Ferragudo, kein Rummel - sehr angenehm. Obwohl nicht jeden Tag die Sonne schien waren es erholsame Tage. An den kühlen Abenden wußten wir den Holzofen und den Gasofen zu schätzen. Auf jeden Fall empehlenswert!

Hallo,

wir waren im Oktober zwei Wochen im Casa Buganvilia. Uns und unseren beiden Kindern ( 6 und 9 ) hat es sehr gut gefallen, wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Haus ist für eine Familie gut geeignet, vor allem der Innenhof hat uns allen gut gefallen und war unser Wohnzimmer.

Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit in ihrem Haus!

Es war alles ok: Wetter, Meer, Dorf und Haus. Besonders schön waren die langen Abende im Innenhof. So soll Urlaub sein.

Die blühende Buganvilia im Innenhof war ein Traum. Wir haben uns sehr wohlgefühlt, im Haus, im Innenhof, dem schönen Dorf. Die Kachelbilder, die schönen alten Bodenfliesen, alles liebevoll gestaltet. Vielen Dank, bis bald!

Tip: Eine Bootsfahrt zu den Delphinen!
