Cascina Marenco was completely renovated in 1995-96. We have made every effort to preserve the character of this typical Piedmont stone house. Our holiday apartments are spacious, comfortably furnished, have traditional stone floors and some visible stone walls. The apartments are located on the first floor and have a balcony with a stunning view to the Bormida Valley. We have a swimming pool measuring 5 x 12 m, a large sandpit for beach-volleyball, badminton etc, and a wonderful garden where you can play boccia (boules) under a big walnut-tree. Cascina Marenco is situated in the hills between the villages of Cessole and Vesime, surrounded by vineyards. A quiet country lane connects the house to these villages, which are only 2km away. Cessole is a little village with roughly 500 residents. It has a number of shops, where you will be able to purchase all the things you need during your stay. There is also a pizzeria and three other restaurants.

The village of Cessole is set in the beautiful valley of Bormida, and it is the ideal centre for your holiday in Piedmont. For the walking enthusiast, there are virtually unlimited possibilities to enjoy the region's unspoilt countryside. The area is full of picturesque villages, as well as the cities of Alba, Asti and Turin, which are just waiting to be explored. From the nearby tower of Roccaverano you can see the great panoramic view of the Alps. There are many local wineries that you can visit and taste the produce. In the summer months many of the surrounding villages hold traditional markets and festivals. In addition, the Mediterranean coast is also within easy driving distance of the property. Southern Piedmont is a beautiful region of Italy, renowned for its rolling hills that are covered with a multitude of vineyards and extensive woods. It is also a region with many castles, towers and other buildings of historical interest.

  • Price is for 2 persons in one apartment per week.
    Each extra person 50,-- Euro per week. Children up to 6 years free.
  • The following items are included in the price: bed-linen, towels in the bathroom and the kitchen (changed once a week), garden and balcony chairs, TV, children's cot, final cleaning, water and electricity, one carport for each apartment, storage space for bicycles and motorcycles, boccia (boules), beach volleyball, swimming pool (5 x 12 m - please bring your own towels ).
  • Arrival day: Saturday (16.00 hr or later)
    Departure day: Saturday (before 10.00 hr)
    Payment: A deposit of 100 Euro is required. This is payable within 10 days of receipt of conformation of your booking. Your reservation will be fixed after we have received the deposit. The balance can be paid on arrival at the property, and payment can only be made in cash. There are no additional charges.
    You will receive a detailed route description after booking.
