Forza d'Agro is a picturesque city, 420 m above sea level, about 10 km from the famous city of Taormina. There are very good restaurants and small shops here that offer nearly everything. Forza D'Agro has a few very beautiful attractions and is an ideal starting point for discovering the island. Our house is located in a peaceful location on the edge of town with a stunning panoramic view of the mountains - along the coast up to Calabria. The beach is only 4 km away. Your wellness is important to us: You will start the day with a rich breakfast! For women, we offer Reiki treatment, relaxation massages and aroma baths. Our equipment includes 1 double room with a bathroom (tub/shower/WC) and a small terrace; 1 small separate room with a double sofa bed; TV/video, radio/CD player, washing machine, fridge, hair dryer, linens, beach towels, loungers, sun umbrella; non-smoking. We speak German!

Our house was created in 2003, is located in a peaceful location on the edge of town and offers a stunning panorama view of the mountains-along the coast up to Calabria. The beach is only 4 km away. In less than a 1 hour drive you can get to the foot of the active volcano Ätna or to the nature reserve of the Alcantara River and its highlight, the 'Gola di Alcantara'. As a day excursion, you can visit the Lipari Islands. Wellness offers for women: aura-soma, sound therapy, Reiki treatment, relaxation massages, aroma bathtubs (free). Children are welcomed! Crib and changing place available.

Additional information about rental rates

  • We charge € 25.00 for the final cleaning. For the separate room, it depends upon booking: one adult with breakfast pays half of the double room price. The final cleaning for the separate room costs € 15.00. A possible heating fee is charged during the cooler seasons with € 35.00 per week. Prices for children for the separate room with breakfast: children up to 3 years stay for free. From 3-6 years € 40.00 July/August. € 49.00 and from 6-13 years € 80.00, July/Aug. € 99.00. The adult price applies from the age of 13 years (see above). Booking deposits: always 20% of the total price. For a no-show, the deposit will be credited for the following year. After this, the deposit expires.

Idyllischer Urlaub im sizilianischen Bergdorf

Ich war 1 Woche in Casa Stefania mit meinen 10-jährigen Sohn. Das Casa ist wunderschön und stilvoll, wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Zum atemberaubenden Ausblick, gab es eine sehr liebevolle und herzliche Gastgeberin, die uns jeden Tag mit einem üppigen, leckeren Frühstück verwöhnte. Trotz das wir kein Auto hatten, haben wir rund um das idylische Bergdorf ganz fantastische Wanderungen gemacht. Beim nächsten Mal ist Auto ein Muß für uns. Es war ein wirklich schöner Urlaub und ich kann das Casa Stefania im Forza nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Es war interesant zu erleben, wie vielfältig und phantasievoll ein Urlaub sich gestalten kann. Sicher hatte ich mich in dieser Woche mehr beschäftigt als Wander-
und Spielpartner ( Schach / Backgammon + Carcasonn )
mit meinen Gästen als üblich. - Sowas muß einfach
Freude machen und immer spontan kommen, dann hat jeder seinen Spaß ........

Gemuetliche Oase mit Traumaussicht

Nach abgespulten 1600 km unter klimatischen extremen Hoechstbedingungen (August) erklimmte schnaufend unser 30 Jahre alter VW-Bus bei Nacht das Bergdorf Forza d'Agrò, welches wir erst am naechsten Tag bei Sonnenlicht geniessen konnten. Wir wurden herzlich mit offenen Armen begruesst und willkommen geheißen. Die Unterkunft ist liebevoll eingerichtet und urgemuetlich und der Ausblick am Morgen einfach atemberaubend. Auch unser kleines Familienmitglied (11 Jahre) hatte keine Langeweile, da hier alles "geil" und "cool" und immer was los ist (verschiedene Spiele, Basteln oder etwas aus Ton formen). Wir genossen jeden Morgen beim Frueckstueck den super Ausblick auf die Berge, die Kueste und Kalabrien und konnten uns fast nicht losreissen. Nicht weit sind Ausfluege nach Savoca, Taormina, zum Aetna (fuer unseren Juengsten das absolute Highlight) und absolut sehenswert die Alcantara-Schlucht, mit ihrem 12 Grad erfrischendem klaren Wasser zu empfehlen. Um tagsueber der gluehenden Hitze und des Trubels des Augustes zu entkommen genossen wir umso mehr abends die lauen Sommerwinde auf der Piazza des Dorfes bei Granita und Latte Macchiatto.
Da unser Abenteuertrip laengst nicht beendet war, mussten wir leider dieses schnuckelige Domizil nach ca. 1 Woche hinter uns lassen. Aber es war absolut herrlich und bestimmt nicht unser letzter Besuch.
Je nach dem ob man die Idylle des Dorfes und der naeheren Umgebung zu Fuss entdecken und die Ruhe und Entspannung sucht, oder doch lieber als Ausgangspunkt fuer Ausfluege und zum Baden nutzen will, ist ein Auto empfehlenswert.

Italien für Genießer

Das war Urlaub vom Feinsten! Wer einmal die unglaubliche Landschaft und die kulinarische Vielfalt dieses Landes erleben möchte, der sollte auf jeden Fall eine Reise in diese Region Italiens wagen! Der Aufenthalt im Casa Stefania war ein Highlight dieser Reise, da zum Einen der Ausblick vom Balkon beim Frühstück unbezahlbar ist und zum Anderen die herzliche Art der Gastgeberin uns begeistert hat!
Ein Mietwagen ist ein muss, um die Gegend erkunden zu können. Alles in Allem...jederzeit wieder!!!

Wohlfühlen in herzlicher Atmosphäre

Was auch immer man von Italien schon gesehen hat, Sizilien ist auf jeden Fall eine Reise wert. Wer sich dann noch für das Umfeld von Taormina entscheidet, ist, denke ich, in der schönsten Ecke des Landes. Die Lage von „Casa Stefania“ ist absolut bevorzugt. Der mittelalterliche Ort Forza D’Agro liegt nur 10km von Taormina entfernt. Somit ist man nah genug an Taormina dran, um mal kurz einen Abstecher in das gut besuchte Örtchen machen zu können (vor allem auch abends empfehlenswert), und doch soweit entfernt, dass man die Ruhe auf der Terrasse abseits des Trubels von Taormina genießen kann. Der Ausblick, der einem von "Casa Stefania“ aus geboten wird, ist atemberaubend. Aus der Höhe des Ortes von ca. 400 m hat man den Blick aufs Meer in Richtung "Straße von Messina“ und rüber nach Calabrien.
Die Wohnqualität ist hervorragend. Die Gastgeberin legt großen Wert darauf, den Aufenthalt so angenehm wie möglich zu gestalten, und das gelingt ihr auch. Als Kennerin der Gegend bekommt man von ihr darüber hinaus wertvolle Tips für Ausflüge in der Umgebung.
Ein Auto ist zum Erreichen der zahlreichen Sehenswürdigkeiten in der Umgebung erforderlich. Der Ätna muss selbstverständlich dazu gehören. Mein Tip: neben den bekannten Städten auch den über Taormina gelegenen Ort Castelmola besuchen (Flair und Aussicht 1. Klasse).
Zum Schluss noch ein "Geheimtip“ für Cineasten:
Forza D’Agro und der in Sichtweite gelegene Ort Savoca sind die Hauptschauplätze für die in Sizilien gedrehten Szenen von Francis Ford Coppola’s „Der Pate“. Die Ortskirche von Forza D’Agro, die "chiesa della SS. Annunziata" kommt in allen 3 Teilen vor (1972/1974/1990). In Savoca findet man die berühmte „Bar Vitelli“ (Teil 1), in der Al Pacino alias Michael Corleone um die Hand der Tochter des Barbesitzers anhält.
Die Schauplätze von "Corleone“ (Name des Ortes im Film) sind alle nahezu unverändert erhalten.
Ich werde bei meinen nächsten Urlaub in Sizilien wieder „Casa Stefania“ als Feriendomizil wählen und kann Ihnen dies nur wärmstens empfehlen.

Diese Ferienunterkunft ist absolut empfehlenswert!!Für Italien-Sizilien-ein "Schnäppchen"mit einer hohen Qualität des Wohnstandarts,sowie einer ausgezeichneten Gastgeberin! Der Standort ist Ideal für Ausflüge in die nahegelegene Gegend des Äthna,Taormina,catania,Syrakrus,Noto,ect.Wenn sie sich für diese Art Urlaub in der "Casa Stefania"entscheiden-Glückwunsch!

Ein Auto ist notwendig.
