Das Haus ist mit allem ausgestattet, was man für einen Aufenthalt auf Texel benötigt und sauber. Es hat einen sehr persönlichen Touch, dass es positiv von den Plastikbungalows der grossen Ferienparks unterscheidet. Die Ferienhausanlage selbst ist direkt am Naturschutzgebiet De Muy / de Slufter gelegen und ruhig (zumindestens als wir da waren). Zum Strand muss man ein Stückchen durch das Naturschutzgebiet laufen oder man radelt nach Koog oder nach Cocksdorp. Ebenso zum Einkaufen oder wenn man in ein Restaurant/Kneipe/Strandpafiljoen will. Ein bisschen mobil sein sollte man schon (Rad/Auto) Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden.
Der Garten ist sehr gross und komplett eingezäunt (sehr praktisch für Hunde oder Kinder). Die Beschreibung auf der Fewo Seite und auch auf der Homepage des Besitzers stimmen mit der Wirklichkeit überein.
Owner's Response: Wir sind froh, dass wir in unserem Haus und auf unserem Grundstück unsere persönliche Note zur Vermietung anbieten können. Darauf legen wir besonderen Wert.

Für das Jahr 2010 werden wir noch einen besonderen Ratgeber über gepflegte Restaurants, Strandpavillons und urtümlichen hölländischen Kneipen mit akzeptablen Preisen und gutem Service in unserem Haus hinterlegen, damit unsere Gäste sich nicht fremd auf der großen Insel Texel vorkommen.
Einige Worte über die Geschichte der Insel Texel und ihrer typischen Natur sind in Vorbereitung. Es interessiert viele Gäste, dass die Kiefernwälder - durch die wir fahren - schon über 200 alt sind. Oder, dass bis in die 1970iger Jahre Standgutsammler noch in Erdhäusern in den Dünen lebten. Texel ist auch aus dieser Sicht eine hoch interessante Wattenmeerinsel.
