You will not be able to tell the difference between this chair and a 'real' masseur. There are different types of massages: Whole-body, body parts, back, neck, shoulder, thigh, arm, calf and foot massage and a special massage to music. Here you can put a CD into the integrated CD player and then be massaged to the rhythm of the music!

In Duhnen you can either have a relaxing beach holiday, spa, a sporting activity holiday or a family vacation. There is something for everyone here. The attractive and central location of your apartment, you are only a few minutes walking from the centre of Duhnen - the heart of the North Sea spa. Here you will find everything your heart desires: there are several bars, cafes, ice cream shops and restaurants (typical North German, international and luxury restaurants), and many shops, department stores, boutiques, galleries and souvenir shops to be discovered . Harbour and boating are a tradition in Cuxhaven / Duhnen which gives the city the typical aura. Mixed with the often luxurious Art Nouveau buildings, Duhnen is an incredibly varied and high-quality tourist destination; it nevertheless has managed to keep a feel of the 'good old days'.

Harbour and flair - typical North German

Cuxhaven is often named the gateway to the world. There are several major ports, such as the seaport, the port America and the Cutter and fishing port. Tourists are always fascinated by the huge container ships and freighters. Particularly impressive is a stroll to the harbour cutter, where you have an impressive sight with many crabs and high sea cutter side by side in the harbour basin. Here you have an opportunity to buy crabs, fish and other marine products directly from the cutter! Cuxhaven also has a berth for luxury-liners, from which several have set sail to the 'New World'. Today, the large container ships and the ferries sit next to huge cruise ships such as the Queen Mary II. Some of these huge boats are on their way to Hamburg, others anchor directly in Cuxhaven and start from here to go all over the world.

Culture, entertainment and things worth seeing

In Duhnen, there is always something going on. Various sports events such as surfing, golf, horseback riding, skiing, bowling, etc. make a memorable holiday activity. In case of bad weather there are many cultural events so you won't get bored. In Cuxhaven there are over 3,500 (!) events per year, from concerts with shanty songs and sailor songs to spectacular shows, theatre and concert performances from many well-known artists. In the summer, there are up to 3 concerts a day. Other event highlights include `The Mudflats Festival`, the world-famous race on Duhner mudflats, the summer evening at the sea, the `Grape Harvest Festival`, the spectacle Cuxhaven Middle Ages, etc. Particularly interesting is the `Fort Kugelbarke`, the wreck Museum, the Aeronauticum, Ritzebüttel the castle, the castle Bederkesa, the learning and show shipyard, the museum ship, the Natureum, the zoo directly in the park and trips to Helgoland (duty-free shopping), Bremerhaven, Bremen, Hamburg and Stade.

The climate on the North Sea coast in and around Duhnen is extremely healthy. The weather in Duhnen, incidentally, is almost always different (often better) than the global weather reports on the television. The ebb and flow, tide, wind and climate and especially the influence of the Gulf Stream heat the area of the North Sea outside of Cuxhaven and often mean rapid weather changes and little rain.

Ahoy adventure and wave baths

For bathing pleasure, our guests do not have to worry: our large pool house is free of charge. However, if you would like to bathe in the sea (and the North Sea is not too cold for you), then you should visit the Ahoy-adventure bath in Duhnen. Here you can bathe at any time of the year in 28 to 32 degrees warm sea water and enjoy 20 minutes in 80cm high waves. There is an impressive sauna area with a total of 7 different saunas, sauna garden and a panorama sauna with a unique view of the sea. Other highlights in the Ahoy-baths are an outdoor pool with flow channel, hot tub, spa with springs and waterfall, a children's paradise, a giant slide, etc. In addition, there is a fitness centre and a Thalasso and Wellness Centre, where you and others can enjoy various massages, wellness and cosmetic treatments.
