Simple apartment in former farmhouse, tranquil, 500 m from beach
For individuals who value reasonably priced accommodation in a typical former farmhouse, far from traffic and tourism. No TV, pool or flashy decor, just simple functional furnishings in a house completely refurbished in 2008. Living room/dining room with integrated kitchen. Hot and cold water on demand. The bathroom has a shower and a WC. 2 bedrooms each with 2 beds, extra beds in hallway and living room for maximum 4 – 6 persons.

Large ground area surrounded by white wall with shady parking. Super sandy beach (6 km, towards Armacao de Pera, hardly any other buildings) 10 minutes away on foot. Bird conservation area Lagune “Salgados” half an hour away on the beach. Lots of restaurants, (super)market 5 – 10 minutes on foot. Buss connection to Albufeira.

Former farmhouse
There’s an apartment with separate entrance and terrace access in the former farmhouse, also with barbecue table and garden and plenty of shade thanks to lots of old trees. It’s just right for families with children and holiday-makers (5 – 6 persons) looking for peace, and with any luck a view of local hoopoes and bee-eaters around the site. Built-in kitchen, TV and daily service are not suitabl;e for this apartment. It’s simply but well furnished and completely renovated at the start of 2008. Both bedrooms hold two beds. One bedroom (usually used as child’s room) has separate terrace access. The bathroom with hot and cold shower/bath and WC is reached via a small landing.
Country environment
Praia da Galé lies between Albufeira and Armacao de Pera. The house stands alone in a quiet cul-de-sac. Shops and restaurants are easy to reach on foot. A fish vendor comes direct to Casa Branca between 9 -10.00 am (except weekends) to provide freshly caught fish for lunch or dinner. He sounds his hooter loudly several times! Half-way to Armacao de Pêra beach is the birds‘ nature reserve of Lagune „Salgados“ with a bird-watching platform from which you can see flamingoes, cranes and even the rare purple cock. The wonderful 5 km west-facing sandy beach (Armacao de Pêra), and the typical Algarve rocky coast towards Albufeira (ca. 8km) with lots of tiny sandy bays is just 500m from the house. It is partly supervised and quite suitable for children.
