Our cottage 'Chinel' (Commune Gras, Ardeche) is in harmony with the landscape in a typical rustic style made of stone. In the middle of an impressive mountain landscape you will find quietness for relaxing, enjoying and resting. The environment around the house invites you to go on a lot of activities, like easy walks, demanding hikes, biking and mountain biking tours and horseback riding, climbing and also rafting through the Ardeche Canyon which is about 20 km from the house. The holiday home is ideal for 13 people and has 8 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms (shower, toilet), a living room with fireplace (50 m2), a completely equipped kitchen for about 20 people (microwave, dishwasher, 2 refrigerators with a freezer, 5 flame stove, all cooking utensils), a library with TV, video and CD recorder, a pool (7 m x 4 m), two patios and a 100 m2 large inner courtyard with a grill, washing machine

Our lone-standing cottage Chinel is located in a romantic mountain landscape between the cities of Bourg St. Andeol in the Rhonetal, S. Remeze on the plateau, Mas de Gras and the famous vineyard region of Valvignere. The mountain location of the house offers an extraordinary impressive panorama view above the Swiss and French Alps, the Pre-Alpes Sud and the Provence mountains with its highest mountain, the Mont Ventoux. The houses of the closest neighbours are located between 300m and 800m from the house. You will have absolute freedom and recreational options in your holiday.

  • Not included in the rental price are the following costs: final cleaning € 120.00; gas, water, electricity for € 60.00 per week and heat according to consumption.
  • Booking conditions: when renting the house, 25% of the rental price is to be paid during booking which will not be reimbursed if you decide to cancel your rent. For a cancellation 10 days before arrival, the entire rent price is due.
  • Normally, the guests bring their own bed sheets and towels. Bed sheets and towels can be provided for a fee of € 10. Dishwasher towels, trash bags, cleaning supplies, etc. are included in the price.

Notes: Our house has a library with TV, video, DVD, radio and CD. The living room is 50 m2 and has a fireplace. The kitchen is on 20 m2 with a 5 flame gas stove, microwave, dishwasher, open grill, glasses, utensils, plates, etc. for about 20 people. Additionally, there is a storage room with 2 refrigerators and freezer. In the outdoor area you will find 2 patios, an inner courtyard (100 m2) with a large grill and a pool (7m x 4m).

Recreational activities : There are charming daily excursions from here to the most elegant vineyard regions of the Provence. Visits to the Roman cities of Vaison la Romaine, Orange, Nimes, Avignon and the Pont du Guard, among others, are recommended and for those who do not think 90 km is too far, they can experience a beautiful spa day in Saintes Marie de la Mere in the Camarque. The nearby Ardeche Canyon invites you to go on a 30 km raft ride from Vallon to St Just. The region is a paradise for those who enjoy going in caves. The many connected cave systems include the Grotte de la Madelaine, the Grotte Marzal and the Grotte Orgnac. In addition to this, there is a row of non-connected, but accessible cave systems. Excursions to the Hochardeche are especially an experience during October for passionate mushroom collectors. And last but not least, the large markets in Pont St. Esprit, in Vaison la Romaine, Vivier, etc. provide for culinary experiences.

Athletic activities: The region is ideal for mountain bikers, kayakers, hikers and horseback riders. Climbing walls are nearby in one of the most beautiful villages in southern France - St. Montan. Our house and the surrounding area are especially ideal during the spring and fall for senior groups who would like to enjoy the comfortable climate and the typical gastronomy connected with a very personal service. The lavender blooms in May/June and the wine harvest during fall are ideal for connoisseurs and hikers. Last, but not least, the Hochardeche is a paradise for mushroom collectors who can enjoy wild boar with a mushroom sauce.

Culture: The summer months offer a rich recreational program: the traditional Marienfeste (Fete Votive), Jazz and classical concerts, the Festival d'Avignon in July, Vernissagen, etc.

Wunderschönes Landhaus mit herrlicher Aussicht

Das wunderschöne Landhaus befindet sich in herrlicher Natur, abgelegen vom Alltagslärm und Hektik. Von hier aus kann man sämtliche Unternehmungen planen oder einfach stundenlang am herrlichen Pool verbringen. Mehrere Terrassen, Sitzmöglichkeiten bieten Rückzugsmöglichkeiten aber auch rauschende Partys an.
Die netten Vermieter zeigen auf Wunsch sämtliche Geheimnisse der Gegend.
Die nächste Einkaufsmöglichkeit befindet ca. 20 Minuten (Auto) entfernt. Restaurants gibt es reichlich (ab ca. 10 Minuten Entfernung).
Wir waren 8 Erwachsene, 2 Kinder und 2 Hunde - perfekt und vielen an den den Vermieter.

Fantastische 14 Tage!!!!!

Nicht zuletzt zu verdanken den großartigen Gastgebern!!!

Danke für die Höhlentour und die Zeit, die ihr Euch genommen habt.
Ist nun schon über vier Wochen her-und die Sehnsucht wächst!
Ein tolles Haus mit riesig vielen Möglichkeiten. Vom Entspannen bis zu Erlebnistouren ist hier wirklich alles drin.
Wir waren bereits das zweite Mal dort und wir hoffen es wird auch ein drittes Mal geben.
Eine Landschaft an der man sich nicht satt sehen kann. Es wird wirklich nicht zuviel versprochen. Tolle Grillmöglichkeiten; Rückzugsgebiete rund um das Haus, wenn man allein sein mag.
Absolut Tadellos!!
kleiner Tipp: vermeidet tiefergelegte Autos ;-)

Das Maison "Chinel" entspricht in allen Punkten den Angaben im Inserat. Herrliche Lage, totale Ruhe und Entspannung, sehr sauber und gemütlich mit allem Komfort, den man braucht. Besonders schön: Der Pool mit wunderschöner Aussicht, mehrere Terrassen, Grill, große Küche, alles vorhanden. Wir haben uns äußerst wohl gefühlt und fühlten uns von unseren Vermietern, Walter und Jola, herzlichst betreut. Sehr gerne wieder.

Ein tolles Landhaus mit Panoramaaussicht das genau der Beschreibung im Angebot entspricht. Ob Kinder oder Erwachsene jeder kam auf seine Kosten. Es gab soviel Platz für gemeinsame Aktivitäten, aber auch viele Möglichkeiten sich zurückzuziehen und einfach die Ruhe und Landschaft zu geniessen. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir noch einmal die supernette Betreuung durch den Vermieter. "Maison Chinel" - jederzeit wieder!!!!! Endlich hatten wir einen Platz gefunden, Groß - Familie.
Jeder fand dort für sich das richtige zur Erholung und Aktion , wie Wandern und Kajak fahren in der nahen Ardéche , sowie reiten .
Einfach kurze Wege in die Natur . Somit Erholung pur.
Und im und um das Anwesen viel Platz für eine Großfamilie und Gruppenreisende.
Gerne kommen wir wieder.
