Recreational activities :
There are charming daily excursions from here to the most elegant vineyard regions of the Provence. Visits to the Roman cities of Vaison la Romaine, Orange, Nimes, Avignon and the Pont du Guard, among others, are recommended and for those who do not think 90 km is too far, they can experience a beautiful spa day in Saintes Marie de la Mere in the Camarque. The nearby Ardeche Canyon invites you to go on a 30 km raft ride from Vallon to St Just. The region is a paradise for those who enjoy going in caves. The many connected cave systems include the Grotte de la Madelaine, the Grotte Marzal and the Grotte Orgnac. In addition to this, there is a row of non-connected, but accessible cave systems. Excursions to the Hochardeche are especially an experience during October for passionate mushroom collectors. And last but not least, the large markets in Pont St. Esprit, in Vaison la Romaine, Vivier, etc. provide for culinary experiences.
