Apartment Green 2 - Beautiful Views
Review Submitted: August 26, 2008
Date of Stay: August 2008
We stayed for 10 days in August 2008 and were really impressed. Our apartment looked different to the pictures of Apartment Geen in the photos on this website but as the apartment key said "Green 2"on it and it seemed to be of an even higher standard we didn't mind in the slightest.
Speaking of the standard it was Ikeamazing, leather sofa, lcd tv & ample DVD collection, massive balcony complete with sofa and BBQ (Electric), games, Iron & Ironing board, washing machine, loads of clean towels and bed linen, first aid kit, hair dryer, adapter plug, spare bulbs and batteries, plenty of cupboard space, loads of Cutlery & Crocery, candles & tea lights galore, kettle, coffee machine, gas hob, nifty little oven/grill/microwave, big wooden dinner table, essentails e.g. Toilet Roll, Washing Up Liquid, Hand Soap, Laundry Powder, Tea, Salt, Pepper, Garlic, Chilli, Herbs, Oil, Balsamic Vinigar, Tuna, Pasta Sauce & Pasta (Although these could have been left by the people before us we replaced anything we used) and rechargable torch (Useful as the place is remote).
And i mean remote, there is really only 1 restaurant in walking distence unless you are really into rambling (It took us 10-15 at a brisk pace turning right as you leave the apartment).
And i should probably issue a warning about the roads. DO NOT TURN RIGHT OUT THE APARTMENTS IN A CAR. This road was a single file walking track for a bit and was really tight on our hired lancia (About 3 inches narrower than the car between mountainface and tree trunks - bye bye security deposit). If you see anyone come out of there it is normally a local in a beat up old fiat panda or similar!! I saw one Audi A4 Estate with a scrape across all the panels.
Don't let this put you off though, just make sure you come to the apartments from Via Golf (North-East to South-West) and then onto Via Mornaga (Back North East for about 300m)... this isn't a walk in the park but unless you're a complete beginner at driving you'll be fine.
The owner, Cristina, was very responsive to our enquiries before we went and altough we didn't actually see her at all throughout our 10 day stay she was always a text or phone call away.
The pool was great but we only speant a few hours there one afternoon, if you are a sit by the pool person you might be a touch dissappointed as around the pool is tight on space but it is clean and there was always a chair free.
It's a superb base to explore the region.
