Amsterdam holiday

For our honeymoon we stayed May 8-15. We took the train to Central Station and walked to the apt. I recommand to take a cab. It's close but the train can be tight for large luggage. Owners very helpful with early check in, due to flight arrival in the morning.

The apt was just a beautiful as the pictures. Very clean. The space is big, esp for just 2 of us. I hate small hotel rooms. The supermarket is just minutes away- not open real late so don't wait too late.

I got so excited about the beautiful space, I missed the actual level of the apt. There are a lot of stairs but once you get the luggage up, it's not so bad.

The central location was great! Minutes to grocery store, close to central station- buses to take you anywhere. In 35 minutes we were in the Dutch country side, standing in working windmills. The Rijks is still under remodel, just the main hall is open. The Van Gogh is always amazing. We got the Holland Pass- great saving and gave the idea and transportation mode to Dutch country side. Did a cancel cruise- interesting information and learned cool facts about the warehouse, you see out the apt window across the canal. We passed the apt on the cruise we took.

Instructions on how to use kitchen equipment would have been helpful but we mangaged. No phone.

La Madonna- great veal- close to CS
Dragon Corner- never busy at lunch, don't be fooled by the lack of customers, the food is great!- close to CS
De carousel- great pancakes and waffles- close to Hienken brewery.

Customs in US does not allow plants or bulbs. I lost some really pretty tulip bulbs and gifts upon returning home. Customs suggested buying them at the airport, you need a paperwork to bring them back.

We had a great time and would recommand this apt.
