Prague and Vienna:
Both cities Prague and Vienna are 150 km away from Nova Bystrice. Also the bike greenway Prague-Vienna goes trough Nova Bystrice.
Excursions:
In the Czech Canada and Austrian forest area, there is still tranquility, nature and culture. Excellent for hikes, biking, mountain biking, fishing and bading in one of the many lakes. However, you can also go on a lot of beautiful quiet car tours as they did 30 years ago. In this special landscape you will find a lot of nature and culture. From the villa you can go north trough Czech and south (border Austria is only 1 km from the villa without any control). While on your way, you will drive through dreamy villages and untouched medieval cities with a large selection of places to relax and go out. Prices in restaurants are in Czech still cheap (beer € 0,50) and in Austria moderate and good (the Austrian wines are very tastfull and cheap). This area is especially famous for the many beautifully restored 'Burchten' belonging to the Rosenberg family divided in Czech and Austria. A 76 cm light railway drives from Nova Bystrice for 33 km to Jindrichuv Hradec between June and September.
Lake/Pool:
In the lake you can go swimming and rowing. There are many lakes in surrounding (from 2 km) area where you can go fishing with a permit. Hotel with pool and tennis court is in 1500 m. There is an indoor and outdoor pool in Austrian spa town Litschau 10 km away. Also there is an aqua park in Jindrichuv Hradec in 18 km.
Ski:
Nova Bystrice has 13 marked cross-country skiing trails of total 80 km. The trails start only 50 m from the villa.
Golf:
The villa is located only 2 km from the golf resort Monachus/Mnich with 9 (par 62) holes for beginners with a golf academy (head pro is Steve Fraser from UK) and 18 holes (par 73) Championship course with a golfrange, nice restaurant and big terrace with beautiful views over the golf court and hills. Here you can still play golf relatively inexpensively with 20 % discount as guest of Obora golfvillage (green fee from 15 Euro) in the beautiful nature of Czech Canada and the Austrian forest area. A true mecca for demanding golf and nature enthusiasts. 9 km away is Austria where you will find the famous Championship golf course belonging to the golf resort Haugschlag with 18 and 9 holes. The Austrian spa city Litschau, 10 km away, also has a golf course with 9 holes. So you will be living in a golf paradise between 3 golf courses with a total of 63 holes. You can rent equipment everywhere and take a class with a trainer.
