These ia a self catering apartment, carefully restored in typical Tuscany style, with private kitchen. It has a very quiet location surrounded by big gardens and green area. The apartment is within a walking distance from the centre of the Village of Calci, where you find all the facilities (supermarket, shops and restaurants), only 7 km far from Pisa airport and 12 km far from Lucca. They are children and family friendly, with many entertainment possibilities. This is a good starting point to visit Tuscany. You have public transportation to Pisa and mountain bike rentals. You can also buy from us wine and extra virgin olive oil. There are internet facilities in the common room, as well as Sat- TV.

Calci has many artistic attractions; the best known is a Marvellous Certosa of the eighteen century, where the monks were living till 1980; it has been now transformed into a museum. Our property is located 500 meters from the village of Calci (you can walk from here), where you can find a supermarket (open Monday to Saturday from 08.00 am to 08.00 pm) and shops for you basic needs. There is also a post office, a bank, a pharmacy, and many restaurants up in the hills and also in the centre of the village. Downtown Calci you will find the MecMarket (produces and food), a panetteria (bakery), a fish-shop. They normally open from 8 to about 12.30 and then from 5.30 pm till 7.30 pm. They close on Wednesday afternoon. The biggest general store in Calci is COOP, which is open from 8 am till 8 pm, no weekly day break, closed on Sunday. For those who like sports, Calci is 800 meters from us a tennis club, foot or bike trekking on the hills surrounding the valley, golf courses at 20 km away.

A lovely Tuscan holiday! Central for travel

We were three adults and two small children, and LOVED this holiday. We chose this house for it's central location and proximity to the Autostrada - we wanted to see most of the sites in Tuscany and not spend lots of time on windy mountain roads. We were pleasantly surprised with the house - extremely spacious, very clean and the shared facilities were just as well kept. The village of Calci was only a short walk away, where they had everything one could need. We also valued the recommendation booklet from the owner. When you stay here you are a short drive away from almost everything with major motorways just a short distance away. Great beaches also nearby for a day or two of relaxing. We would happily stay here again.
