Nice apartment

The apartment is in an elevated position in Partenkirchen in a very quiet street. The hill up from Partenkirchen is very steep, and in snow requires a winterised vehicle, i.e. 4WD with snow tyres, which unfortunately we didn't have, and rwicw had to abandon the vehicle and walk (20 mins) uphill to the property. Location is lovely, probably even nicer in spring/summer.
The Landlady (Birgit) is very nice and was helpful in buying groceries and settling us into the property.
The layout to the property is a little strange, with 2 corridors leading from the kitchen to the living room, both of which double as bedrooms, with a very nice, but rather small for a double, bed in a curtained alcove.
Bedroom 1 is a king, or rather 2 singles pushed together (typical Bavarian style). However, despite the beds being fairly comfortable, the bed frames were very noisy, and any slight movement caused creaks loud enough to wake both myself and my husband up, therefore I could not sleep, and in the middle of night 2, I moved into one of the alcoved beds, much better.
Bathrooms are all very nice, master bathroom with tub and 2 smaller shower rooms by the corridor bedrooms. Plenty of towels and good water pressure.
The kitchen was functional, although did not have a microwave. Not to much of a problem since we mostly ate out. Apartment had a washer and dryer which were good quality, also had a small dishwasher.
Living room was functional, and comfortable enough for our stay. View from the patio doors was stupendous.
Internet access was a plus point to this property, although we did not always get a connection from the living room, the connection was best from the master bedroom.
Parking was on the street which would not be a problem in good weather. In the snow it was difficult because of snow build up on the sides of the narrow street since we had to leave enough room for other vehicles to pass.
We were 3 people and had plenty of room.
