The spacious and lovely furnished holiday apartment Velanies is located in a small private holiday complex on a 6500 m2 enclosed property. It is located exactly above the famous 'Golden beach' about 800 m away. This beach has the rare distinction 'blue beach', a distinction for the stunning water quality. Here you will find diverse recreation options like swimming (also very ideal for children), surfing, water skiing, 'flying banana' and diving. The property has a lot of plants. There are palm trees, vineyards, fig trees, oleander bushes and a few needle and leave trees - a place of relaxation and an oasis where for real rest and to unwind. We offer our holiday apartment guests a free transfer service in an air conditioned bus to and from the airport or ferry. For the first day, we also offer an optional breakfast and catering service.

The holiday apartment is located above Golden Beach. Velanies is located between Drios (1 km) and Marpissa (4 km). The beautiful little fishing village of Piso Livadi is located nearby. In this region you will find inexpensive shopping options, cozy taverns, entertaining bars and well-kept restaurants. From Velanies, you can hike your way on the historic Byzantine path to the old Chora Lefkes, an excursion to the monastery Ag. Georgios with its aromatic orange and lemon trees, visit the romantic springs above Marpissa, research the antique marble quarry of Marathi. Furthermore, you can go on day excursions to the small Cyclades, Santorini, Mykonos and Delos. The larger cities of Paroikia and Naoussa invite you to unwind and see sights. During the evening you will find an ideal place to experience the sunset. All destinations can also be reached by bus. Stop 5 minute walk from the apartment.

  • The spacious bedroom has a size of 20 m2 and is equipped with a double bed 1.8 m x 2.0 m, two night stands with lights, a large cabinet with three large sliding doors and a commode. Upon request, the bedroom can be furnished with extra single beds or bunk beds. Size of the beds 90xm x 200cm. A crib is available if needed. In the living room you will find two more single beds (90cm x 200cm). The central air conditioning and the ceiling fans in the bedroom and living room provide for comfortable night temperatures. The bedroom and living room have a patio door through which you can directly get to the south patio . All windows from the holiday apartment have fixed mosquito nets in order to provide you with a relaxing sleep.

Notes: Through the heated flooring and the fireplace oven, the holiday apartment is very cozy during the cooler months between November and April. ideal months for hiking, trekking and biking. The south and west sides of the apartment are covered with a 44 m2 large patio. Under this you will find two spacious corners to sit in, each for 6-8 people - they provide enough protection from the sun depending on where the sun stands. A private covered grilling area with a walled grill is ideal for inviting holiday friends for a cozy BBQ night. This BBQ area has its own sitting corner for 6-8 people and a sink. Kitchen: complete equipment for 6 people including coffee machine, toaster, water cooker, etc.

Guestbook from 21.05.2007: With the 'Blue Star' I cam to Paros and after 4 beautiful weeks, I am leaving with the faster 'High Speed'. Both ferries are nice for a relatively long time when you have them in front of you and for the end, that is also quickly there again. I felt very comfortable by you in your beautiful apartment and hope I can take the healthy benefits back home with me. From the first point on, I had the feeling that the Greek word 'Xenos' = foreigner, meant guest in its second meaning: well cared for, lovely attended to, to be nourished as a family member. Fantastic hospitality and amazing appartment

We stayed here for our honeymoon and were overwhelmed by the high standard of the accomodation and the large amount of indoor and outdoor space, as well as the kindness and incredible warm welcome that we received from Klemens and Rosi. We did not have a car but this was not a problem as we could use the buses easily and our hosts took us shopping when we needed so that we did not have to carry heavy items. There was enough to do for the 10 days that we were there, including fantastic snorkling, visiting the beautiful Naoussa and well as many different beaches and traditional tavernas. We especially liked Paros as it did not feel too touristy as most of the tourists are Greeks. Overall, a fantastic place to stay and we wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anyone.

Paros Recreation Relaxation and Tranquility

We are a family of 4; a couple with 2 daughters ages 14 and 19 who were looking to spend time on Paros in a calm and picturesque setting away from traditional tourist places. We found this at Rosie and Klemmons home. These owners are very hospitable, and enjoy the company of their visitors. They go out of their way to make you feel welcome. Their home is located in a wonderful valley overlooking Golden Beach to the east ( a short 10 minute walk), and a gorgeous mountain range to the west where sunsets are just wonderful. The accomodations are excellent, spacious, modern in design, and very clean, with all the ammenties that you need. We stayed 4 days and wished we stayed longer. There is a bus close by that can take you to all the major spots to visit. We rented a car for 2 days that gave us more flexibility. Snorkelling, cave visit, horseback riding, and strolling through the beautiful village of Lefkes (narrow passages - no cars), are some of the activities we enjoyed. We highly reccommend this rental. Thank-you once more Rosie and Klemmons, and we hope we can visit you again one day.

Traum-Urlaub

Diese Ferienwohnung ist ein Traum, sie ist hell, goßzügig und wirklich mit allem eingerichtet was man braucht (bishin zum Schuhlöffel). Nicht nur die Wohnung ist wunderbar sonderen auch die Gastgeber, Rosi und Klemens. Sie haben uns schon bei der Anreise unterstützt, nachdem unser Flug storniert wurde haben sie sich um eine Fährverbindung gekümmert und uns dann am Abend vom Fährhafen abgeholt.
Dieser Urlaub war genial, von dem Essen das Klemens zubereitet hat, bis hin zur Fahrt mit dem Speedboot nach Naxos und dem Segeltörn.
Mit dem Mountanbike bin ich zum Kloster hoch gefahren (war verdammt steil, mußte Streckenweise schieben) und habe mit meiner Frau Wanderungen von Lefkes nach Drios gemacht, wir haben die Grillecke genutzt und waren bei angenehmen 23° Grad Wassertemperatur schwimmen.
Alles in allem war dies ein Traum-Urlaub den wir beide nie vergessen werden und den wir auf jedenfall wieder machen werden.
An dieser Stelle nochmal einen ganz ganz lieben Dank.

Top of Paros

Wir brauchen nicht viele Worte verlieren, denn wir können die Bewertungen und Erfahrungen der vor uns Reisenden, auf deren Bewertungen wir uns bei der Auswahl unseres diesjährigen Sommerurlaubs verlassen haben, nur bestätigen.

Unser Familienurlaub bei Rosi und Klemens war wunderschön und ausgesprochen erholsam. Die Wohnung (ebenso der Rest des Anwesens) war geräumig, gemütlich und liebevoll eingerichtet und sehr sauber. Auch ohne Auto (oder gerade deswegen) haben wir uns auf Paros sehr gut zurecht gefunden und dank der Hilfe unserer Gastgeber war auch der Großeinkauf im örtlichen Supermarkt kein Problem...

Unsere Gastgeber standen uns jederzeit mit Rat und Tat zur Seite und wir haben uns nicht zuletzt wegen Ihrer herzichen Art sofort wohl gefühlt.

Zu den Highlight des Urlaubs zählten sicherlich die Einladung zum Bootsausflug nach Naxos (mit Wrackbesichtigung) und die gemeinsamen Abendessen - Klemens' Lammkarre mit Lebkuchenkruste war optisch wie geschmacklich eine Sensation!

Wir bedanken uns für zwei wunderbare Wochen in Eurer Wohnung und wünschen unseren "Nachfolgern" ebenso erholsame Ferien auf der schönen Insel Paros bei Rosi und Klemens.

Im Gegensatz zu vielen Wohnungsbeschreibungen im Internet entspricht die Wohnung wirklich in allem den Angaben. Es gibt eher noch einige zusätzliche Extras, die nicht drin stehen. Für unsere Kinder waren dies u.a. die Katzen, die Sitzhängematte und die Schaukel. Die Wohnung ist sehr schön, groß und wirklich picobello sauber. Der Blick ist herrlich und lässt sich von den verschiedensten Sitzecken und den Liegen aus genießen. Das Meer ist fußläufig zu erreichen und für alle Erledigungen, An- und Abreise, Mietwagensuche, etc. sind wir von den Vermietern toll unterstützt worden. Die Zeit war viel zu kurz aber sehr erholsam, wir können die Wohnung uneingeschränkt empfehlen und wir werden gerne wiederkommen!!!!
