Haselberg is located between the wide plain of the Oderbruch and the rolling hills of the Märkische Schweiz. The brick-made distillery “Alte Schnapsbrennerei” from 19th century belongs to an old farm estate. With its 27 m tall chimney the distillery is the eye catcher of the village. Industrial alcohol used to be produced here of potatoes. Today the distillery has been changed into an overnight stay possibility consisting of 2 holiday apartments of the *** category. With the removal of this building it was laid on gentle reconstruction. Many historical building materials were preserved and be worked off. The arch hall is suited for arrangements like weddings, Workshops and seminars. The distillery can be rented completely too.

Lovingly renovated and tastefully equipped holiday apartment for max. 4 persons in the basement floor of a historical natural stone building complex. The flat has a bedroom, full bath, a kitchen- and dining area, an open sitting room with sofa bed, central heating and an extra nice tiled stove. The holiday apartment is connected to the one room apartment (type B) through a door- if you wish, both units can be rented together. The large garden and its stone as well as the park of the neighbouring former estate invite our quests, to recover from the stress of every day life. The holiday apartment is classified by the German tourist association with***.

On the edge of the Oderbruch (swampy area along the Oder river), 55 km north-east of Berlin (route B 158) you will find a landscape in a charming scenery. Tree-passed avenues are winding through hilly fields. Vast woodlands and small lakes remind of a low mountain range and make a contrast to the near flat Oderbruch landscape. The area is ideal for walking, bicycling, and fishing or for horse riding and canoeing. Artists of different professions have made this sparsely populated and scenic cultural landscape their home and gladly show their studios to visitors. We recommend trips to the National Park Märkische Schweiz (15 km), to Poland (20 km), the boat lift in Niederfinow, the Cistercian monastery in Chorin, the open-air museum Altranft or to the man-made landscape of the Oderbruch . The old distillery “Alte Schnapsbrennerei” with its former manor buildings makes the local core of Haselberg. The community has a population of 300 people.
