The lovingly restored country estate La Casaccia was completed in 2002. On the estate 16 comfortable holiday apartments have been created, with great consideration for the Tuscan architecture and retaining the wonderful old stone walls. The guests have use of the swimming pool (14 x 7m) with parasols and sun loungers, the well tended garden with a barbecue, a small children’s playground and covered seating areas in the garden. Locked car park at the house. Restaurants and shops in Venturina, approx. 2km. Tennis approx. 2km; horse riding 5km and mountain bike hire 8km. Campiglia Marittima and San Vicenzo are both approx. 8km away. The next beach for bathing can be found 4km away in the wonderful nature-protection area of Rimigliano, surrounded by shady pine trees and scented Macchia. The fine sandy beach, with shallow entrance into the sea is ideal for children.

The small town of Campiglia Marittima with its narrow alleys lies on a hill and is only a few kilometres away from the sea. It has retained its medieval character to the present day. In the valley near Venturina it is only a few minutes to the Caldana thermal springs and lake. To the north-west lies the bathing resort of San Vicenzo (12km) with its modern sport harbour. The pleasant pedestrian areas invite one for an evening stroll through the shops, to promenade in true Italian style or to enjoy an evening in one of the discos. From Piombino (11km south west) one can take a ferry to Elba, Corsica or Sardinia.
