Holiday accommodation to rent directly on the esplanade, views to the sea and across the bay to Collioure. A 1930s house, which has been converted into 3 flats, two on the first floor and one on the ground floor. The property is situated on the famous Allee du Racou and is so near to the sea, supermarket and restaurants, that to walk to any of them, would probably be less than 1 minute. It is the perfect location and will appeal to holidaymakers wanting all different types of holiday. Walk along the esplande to the Marina with the sailing boats, the fishing, the diving, the shops and restaurants, go in the other direction to the children’s fun fair with rides and trampolines, or just sit on the veranda and watch the people, jog, cycle or stroll along by the sea. A small road train passes nearby taking people both into Argeles sur Mer and around the area. There are numerous local markets including the famous night market.

Sea view has smaller balconies than Beach view but benefits form a larger kitchen and a shower room and bathroom and has two toilets. The flat has one bedroom containing twin beds, there is a large glass door onto the rear terrace. The rear terrace is sheltered from the direct sun by a tree in the rear court yard area. The shower room is directly off this bedroom. The kitchen area has a dining table and a breakfast bar. The kitchen benefits from a large fridge needed to keep the beer and the wine at the right temperature. There is also a ceramic hob and a stainless steel sink. There are floor tiles throughout the flat those in the lounge being original. In the bathroom we have kept the original sit in bath which provides the opportunity to soak. The flats are situated on the first floor of a house, which is directly at the sea and contains only three apartments, all come complete with necessary cutlery and crockery.

The property is at one end of the bustling boulevard of restaurants, bars, shops and market stalls. It is separated from these by a small square, which often hosts outside entertainment during the day. The village of Argeles has shops, markets and quieter restaurants and cafes around a small square. There is the newly built Port Argeles, which is accessible along the esplanade and again hosts’ shops and restaurants. Past the port is the more intimate Le Racou with fisherman's cottages on the beach. Getting there is east, there are flights available from lowcost operators to both Perpignan and Gerona Barcelona. Perpignan is about 15 mins drive and Gerona about 45 mins. Dependant upon the season Argeles offers the best of both worlds, in high season a busy lively place with lots to do and plenty of activities to keep the whole family happy. In the quieter off peak season it reverts to a sleepy holiday town with a pleasant climate and only 1 hour from the ski slopes.

Ein wunderschöner Familienurlaub!

Schade, unser Urlaub ist leider schon vorbei. Was aber bleibt sind die schönen Erinnerungen an eine wirklich tolle und erholsame Woche in Argeles. Die Lage unserer Ferienwohnung hätte man sich nicht besser vorstellen können. Von dem breiten und weitläufigen Strand trennte uns nur eine Uferpromenade (sehr gepflegt und grün). Von der Terasse aus konnten wir auf das Meer blicken und in wenigen Minuten waren wir im Wasser. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und mit allen notwendigen Geräten für die Selbstversorgung einer vierköpfigen Familie ausgerüstet. Die Vermieter Susan und Stefan waren sehr nett und hilfsbereit und gaben uns viele Tips für Ausflüge in die abwechslungsreiche Umgebung mit ihren Bergen, Buchten, malerischen Hafenstädten und natürlich den zahlreichen Weinhängen. Sehr zu empfehlen ist die Busverbindung nach Cerbere entlang der Küste für familienfreundliche 1 Euro pro Person. Alles in Allem ein wirklich gelungener Urlaub. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

the owners were very friendly and made us welcome,but the apartment was of poor quality and shabby in places. the bedding and especially the towels were ready tor replacing they were old and grubby. The terrace was large but lacked sun loungers and parasol until we requested one.We stayed for 10 days and at no time were the towels or bedding changed.Considering what we paid we were very disappointed with the quality and service.
Owner's Response: As can be seen by the comments in the review we always endeavour to ensure guest requirements are met when-ever possible. This is useful to us as we continue to strive to improve our business. In the above case providing an additional larger parasol and reclining chairs in addition to the garden furniture already available on both terraces, these will now be available for all guests as additional features and are now shown on the pictures. All guests are provided with bed linen for all beds 2 singles and a double and these 2 guests availed themselves of all of this. As an environmentally friendly establishment we only provide additional towels on request and these were not requested. However, we will now make this clear in the information booklet available for guests. We are sorry that these guest considered their holiday too expensive; this could have been partly due to their inappropriate use (against written and verbal instructions) of an electronic toilet which necessitated a call out to a plumber, luckily available but not cheap in the high season. We were able to repair the problem and clean up the assosciated mess leaving the apartment operational again clean and fresh upon their return from a planned excursion.
We welcome the comments from all guests and encourage them to give us feedback throughout their holiday. Unfortunately in this case we were not given the opportunity to rectify the one remaining alleged shortcoming. We assure all our visitors that we are here to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible and will do whatever we can to achieve this.

Our visit to Argeles

We recently returned from a fantastic holiday in Argeles. The weather was outstanding, the accommodation was first rate and the location ideal - right beside the beach. Owners Sefan and Sue were very friendly and made every effort to ensure we had a fabulous holiday.

The resort is very pleasant and it offers all you need in a holiday destination. It has a good mix of the new and the old and is fabulous for chilling out. The locals are warm and welcoming and the location proved great value for money - nowhere was over-priced. The area is well served by all means of quality transport options. We found it very easy to get around with our two small children.

The accommodation is a well balanced mix of traditional French style with modern comforts. It had everything we needed and more.

All in all a wonderful holiday and one which we hope to repeat very soon. We can't praise these appartments and their owners enough! Thank you.
