Holiday accommodation to rent directly on the esplanade, views to the sea and across the bay to Collioure. A 1930s house, which has been converted into 3 flats, two on the first floor and one on the ground floor. The property is situated on the famous Allee du Racou and is so near to the sea, supermarket and restaurants, that to walk to any of them, would probably be less than 1 minute. It is the perfect location and will appeal to holidaymakers wanting all different types of holiday. Walk along the esplande to the Marina with the sailing boats, the fishing, the diving, the shops and restaurants, go in the other direction to the children’s fun fair with rides and trampolines, or just sit on the veranda and watch the people, jog, cycle or stroll along by the sea. A small road train passes nearby taking people both into Argeles sur Mer and around the area. There are numerous local markets including the famous night market.

The attraction of Beach view is the spacious sun terraces which catch the sun all day. The apartment has one bedroom with twin beds, a kitchen, and a lounge dining area with a double sofa bed, TV, DVD and radio, CD, cassette player. There are also a number of board games, though with 360 days sunshine a year, they probably won't be needed. Both the lounge and the bedroom have direct access onto seperate terraces. The bathroom containing the original French bath is located off the bedroom. There is a galley style kitchen with dining area in the lounge. The flat is equipped with electric hotplates, fridge, sink unit, microwave cooker and washing machine. There is an electric kettle, coffee maker and iron. All flats come complete with crockery and cutlery, barbeque and garden furniture.

The property is at one end of the bustling boulevard of restaurants, bars, shops and market stalls. It is separated from these by a small square, which often hosts outside entertainment during the day. The village of Argeles has shops, markets and quieter restaurants and cafes around a small square. There is the newly built Port Argeles, which is accessible along the esplanade and again hosts’ shops and restaurants. Past the port is the more intimate Le Racou with fisherman's cottages on the beach. Getting there is east, there are flights available from lowcost operators to both Perpignan and Gerona Barcelona. Perpignan is about 15 mins drive and Gerona about 45 mins. Dependant upon the season Argeles offers the best of both worlds, in high season a busy lively place with lots to do and plenty of activities to keep the whole family happy. In the quieter off peak season it reverts to a sleepy holiday town with a pleasant climate and only 1 hour from the ski slopes.

Just returned from an enjoyable weeks holiday in this beachside appt. We were greeted by Sue and Stefan who were very friendly and helpful with local knowledge. The property was as described on the website. The appt on arrival was clean and tidy. The attraction of this appt is the beachside location, lovely views and being within walking distance of all amenities. We were there in high season and found the resort lively day and night. We enjoyed walking south along the promenade to Port Argeles with its marina, shops and a good choice of restaurants. Here there are various boat trips (Coullierre is a must). Our thanks to Sue and Stefan.

Ende September 2009 waren wir für ein paar Tag in dieser schönen Ferienwohnung . Unsere Erwartungen zu der Wohnung wurden erfüllt; alles war wie in der Webseite beschrieben. Sehr sauber und nett eingerichtet. Besonders schön ist die Lage dicht am gepflegten Strand und Promenade; nur 1 Minute zu Fuß zum Meer. Wassertemperatur Ende September war noch 21 Grad! Und beim Frühstück konnten wir von der Terrasse den wunderschönen Meerblick genießen. Der Ort mit Restaurants und Shops ist ebenfalls sehr nett und unmittelbar zu Fuß erreichbar.
Sue und Stefan versorgten uns mit einem guten Service. Vielen Dank!
