The house has been finished in 2008, the living space is 180 sqm and the house is placed on a 1200 sqm plot. It is fully equipped and decorated at a high standrad. You can enter the 80 qm big terrace from the specious and open kitchen and living room. The terrace is protected from hard winds, orientated to the south and you have a marvellous view over the Sierra de Monchique. There is a big, heated swimming pool (5x10 m) nearby as well as a BBQ space. The house has 3 bedrooms. 2 of them are equipped with 160x200 m doublebeds (one en-suite). One bedroom has 2 single beds. We have a baby cot, high chair, swing and sand box for the children. The kitchen is fully equipped with dishwasher, fridge and microvawe oven and it is opened to a living room with tv, dvd- and cd-player. The villa is quietly situated minutes away from fantastic uncrowded beaches.

The villa is in Vale da Telha, which is situated in the Costa Vincentina National Park, an area of outstanding natural beauty with rugged cliffs and beautiful uncrowded sandy beaches. This whole area is very unspoilt. Vale da Telha itself is a peaceful residential development close to the unspoilt ancient Moorish town of Aljezur, noted for its castle, excellent market and selection of charming local cafes, bars and restaurants. Aljezur has an excellent vegetable and fish market, internet cafe, banks with cash points, post office. The villa is only 25 minutes from Lagos, and the south coast, with its golf courses, marina, historical buildings, bars and restaurants, and shops, with all the entertainment anyone could wish for!

Additional information about rental rates

  • The prices include 2 persons and 2 children up to 10 years. Each additional person pays 10 Euro a day. The costs for water, gas, electricity, towels and bed linen are included. The towels and bed linen are changed once a week. Please use your own towels for the beach. The pool is being cleaned once a week. The costs for firewood are counted separately. Per rental we charge 60 Euro service fee. There is no service fee for rentals for three weeks or longer.
  • There are special conditions if you rent for longer than 3 weeks .
  • The outside temperatures can reach 20 degrees in the winter. In the evenings and in the night they may fall down to 10 degrees. The house is equipped with central heating and a chimney in the leaving room so that you can easily spend there the winter time.

The description of Casa Sol is very accurate. The house is clean and spacious. Everything new, simple and with good taste.

Perfection, a work in progress

You can tell the Villa was recently built. The grass is still waiting to be sown, the pool shower was assembled during our stay and the swing's structure was waiting for more permissive guests... regardless, the Villa is almost perfect, and I'm sure next year it will be.

The living room includes the kitchen and the dinning area, it works like an open living space. Everything was new and of good quality (a big thank you to Mr. Ikea), including cutlery and pots and pans.

It has a great terrace, with a perfectly positioned barbecue. We had timeless dinners there, where we ate the fresh fish bought at the Aljezur Market.

The pool is really good, the sun shines upon it from early morning till almost dawn, since the terrace faces north. The owner warned us it might be windy, but I guess we got lucky, it was perfect every day!

The Villa is close to Monte Clérigo's beach, approximately 5m drive, but there several other paradisiac beaches just 15 to 30m away.

The owner was nice enough to provide for a couple of bycicles and some stuff for the pool, the latter were greatly appreciated, although since the bikes were recently purchased they were impossible to use (the tires were down and the pedals were still facing in)... maybe next year!

By the end of our stay all could say was that we want to be back next year!

Entspannter, ruhiger Urlaub

Das Haus ist neu, sehr geschmackvoll ausgestattet, der Garten großzügig, der Pool sehr schön und groß! Wir haben uns dort sehr wohl gefühlt und haben die schöne Landschaft und die ruhige Lage sehr genossen. In der Umgebung befinden sich viele, schöne Strände, an die Algarve ist es auch nicht weit. Es hat uns so gut gefallen, dass wir nächstes Jahr wieder in Casa Sol unseren Urlaub verbringen werden.

Das Haus ist von der Ausstattung liebevoll und funktional ausgestattet. Hervorzuheben ist das Bemühen der Besitzer, das offensichtlich auch zeitweise selbstgenutzte Objekt in einem guten und gepflegten Zustand anzubieten und diesen zu halten.
Viele Details (Moskitonetze, Filme in der Hausbibliothek, Küchenausstattung etc.) sind über dem Standard anderer Häuser angesiedelt. Die "Betreuung" durch Vermieter und Hausverwalter ist hervorzuheben und lobenswert.

Uns hat nicht so gut gefallen, daß dieses Haus in einem Teil der doch relativ uncharmanten Siedlung Val de Telha liegt, in der von dem umgebenden Meer weder etwas sicht- noch hörbar war. Die Siedlung hat ausser Ihrer strategisch günstigen Lage zum Meer mit den schönen Badebuchten Monte Clerigo und Arrifana nicht viel zu bieten und gleicht vielen Ferienhaussiedlungen dieser Art in anderen Regionen/Ländern. Mobilität durch ein Fahrzeug ist auch dadurch unbedingt erforderlich.

Der Garten des Hauses ist offensichtlich erst seit neuerem angelegt, so daß wir uns manchmal wie nach einem Einzug in ein neues Haus vorkamen, in dem alle Pflanzungen gerade erst vorgenommen wurden. Eine Sicht-Abgrenzung des Gartens zu den Nachbargrundstücken ist dadiurch auch nicht gegeben - das wäre wünschenswert.

Sehr angenehmer Aufenthalt

Das Haus war sehr ordentlich und gepflegt. Es hat an nichts gefehlt. Idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge zu herrlich gelegenen Stränden sowie ins Hinterland. Auch die beiden Jungs haben sich sehr wohl gefühlt. Jeder hatte sein eigenes Zimmer und dann der Pool. Der ganze Ablauf der Reise, von der Buchung, bis zur Rückgabe des Hauses an das sehr nette Verwalterehepaar war professionell und ohne jegliche Beanstandung!! Einziger Verberbesserungsvorschlag: Es wäre prima wenn man einmal pro Woche die Waschmaschine nutzen könnte.
Wir hatten herrliche 14 Tage im Casa Sol. Vielen Dank!
